Briles struggled with scoring? You realize that Enos has never had a top 25 scoring team?

The idea of red zone efficiency sounds great but if you don't get into the red zone as much, it's kind of a wash.

just let them have it. Bottom line briles left us and we’ve got enos now whether we like it or not so might as well give him a chance.

sometimes you take what you can to not be miserable.

He will do well here IMHO, but we will see.

I love the Fayettevillians article.

I'm pretty excited about the offensive possibilities.

I'm not sure how good we will be year 1. I'm hoping to see significant KJ development this year but being realistic about that with the amount of time they'll have to work on development. Rocket is a monster and i bet we find a way to make our TE situation work.

With all that said from what I've seen Dan enos success is predicated on Oline play. The oline losing 3 starters makes it a concern. Hopefully the OL coach earns his pay here ...

You do realize in that same time Arkansas fell from 21st in the NCAA in Red Zone Efficiency to 70th, right? Briles got worse while Enos got better.

Enos got better in red zone efficiency but worse in scoring each year. However, Briles improved in scoring each year.

I love Enos but our offense will most likely take a step back under him. I think folks are going to find out the hard way how good of an OC Briles actually was.

What I remember about Enos is we were happy with him and he was well respected throughout the conference. We have a good base for him to work with so I’m cautiously optimistic about next season.

My main concern is defense, I’m tired of our defense sucking, especially the secondary. If that improves this could be a very good season for us.

I think this depends more on KJ's health than Briles or Enos.

I don't expect a world burner with Enos. But I do expect better over offensive efficiency overall.

Scoring was Briles issue. I don't believe it will be Enos' unless KJ doesn't catch on with the plan.

Anywho, looking forward to seeing it live WPS!

Enos admitted his system can look different from year to year because he likes to build his scheme around the strength of the personnel that he has to work with.

“Good coaches can do things that best fit the personnel that they have,” Enos said.

He spent one year at Miami, got fired, and has been at Maryland for 2. Use common sense here. He's not exactly a hot commodity for a reason.

Tomatoes / Maters...

Diaz was terrible at Miami, the culture, and the players were not what Enos has here at Arkansas overall. THose two things were killers.

Maryland you say..

Enos’ first season at Maryland brought a record setting passing offense to College Park. Taulia Tagovailoa threw for 3,860 passing yards and tied the school record with 26 passing touchdowns. He finished the season with a 69.2% completion percentage and seven games throwing for more than 300 yards. The 2021 season was the first bowl game for Maryland since 2016. Maryland traveled to New York to play Virginia Tech and it was another record setting performance for the Maryland offense. The offense set a school record for most points in a bowl game (54) which was also the most by a Power 5 team in the 2021 bowl season. In January 2023, Enos resigned to accept the Offensive Coordinator position at Arkansas

Look, I don't expect to change your mind, and I am a self reported Enos Apologist. BUt dude... Who else would you have rather had to replace Briles. he was gone period...

I havent gotten excited over football in years. I still watch about every game, and go to one a year.

The days of me being duped into thinking the football team will ever be any more than it is , have long passed me by.

If we weren’t going to stay in the Art Briles system, Enos would be at the very top of my list. I just fear he is not going to utilize the designed run game for KJ that Briles had in place. That’s just not what he does. People point to Lia having a ton of runs but if you go watch their games it’s mainly just scrambling off called pass plays. Not a lot of designed runs in there. Hopefully he snags that component from the Briles system and incorporates it in to what he does.
