The truth is we were loaded with talent in 2014 and Bert couldn't do shite with it.

Petrino recruited guys with the body types to win at this level.

He was one of the best D line evaluators I've seen now that I have time to reflect upon it. It seems the ones we have committed this year are the first ones I've seen that look the part. What we are playing now are a bunch of nobody's besides sosa.

the athletes aren't the problem. this team is as physically gifted as any we've had. you've got agim, Greenlaw, Harris, pulley. all on defense. that's a solid starting lineup with playmakers at each level.

Offense has talent. Jones, ragnow, Hayden, Hammonds, allen, Martin, Whaley, nance.

problem is scheme and coaching folks

Haven't seen many people discuss our DL, but man they're bad. They get literally zero pressure and aren't good against the run. They're just kind of there.

lots of people have those guys they're mediocre and never do much. but having playmakers st each level makes for a decent college team. all college teams are incomplete we're incomplete and sloppy.

The 2014 defense had four NFL players. FOUR! On a defense. At Arkansas. We won seven games. It's the Bielema way. We blew so many games that season.

Agreed.

We're actually set up well for the spread. Someone like Gundy would win 8-10 with this group.

We just have a lazy, terrible coach, a mediocre staff, and a mentally and physically weak team that takes after its head coach.

Honestly, I feel that Bert has recruited well at every position except OL. These kids don't seem to be coached or conditioned as well as the teams they play.

It's still inexplicable to me that our OL recruiting has been so piss poor under BB with as many OL as he's put in to the NFL.

And Bert and our lazy state media branded those blown leads as part of the "rebuild" and that it was evidence that we were ahead of schedule.

A decent coach would've won 9 or 10.

No kidding. Our 2014 team is the type of team that coaches who can succeed here win with. The 2015 team too for that matter. We were too busy blowing a good season by losing to Toledo and Texas Tech.
