I didn't really notice until I went back and watched War Machine's Mizzou game clip.

That option that Burks ran which Rocket Sanders scored on is a really nice play....has another option possibility going the other way with Jefferson and Ty Morris.

go back and watch it...a triple triple option. Nice.

The play with Burks motioning into the backfield, play action and the screen pass to Warren was really good too

Yeah, it was smooth and obviously lethal. So good we could probably run it 10 times a game like the Wildcat with McFadden with similar success.

The nicest play that i saw was the throw KJ made to evade the rush, rolled left and threw a strike 30 yards down the field to a receiver going left. Was an NFL throw

The receiver on that play was Ketron Jackson, the true freshman. I think he's going to be pretty good for us over the next couple years

No doubt that across the body throw by KJ and catch by Ketron was one of the best physical plays by a player.

I'm talking play design.

Burks lines up at left H back. Sanders in the I. Morris comes in motion from the left and reverses back to the right as he dots the I. Snap...KJ and Morris going left...Burks and Sanders going right...KJ has the option to hand it to Burks (which he did) and let Burks and Sanders option the right end, or keep it and option the left end with Morris. Top it off with the two remaining WRs on routes where a short pass is there.

Just a nasty nasty designed play.

Here's the "candy" screen pass Porcine referred to earlier:

Candy (Screen to Warren)

Here's the option play I'm referencing (at 7:40 in War Machine's clip): Head spinning option play

on that long pass to Ketron Jackson where KJ scrambled left, did Jackson break off his route to get open? Or was that route designed? I don't know enough about play design and route running to be able to tell

Here's the play LINK

On the replay it shows that Jackson looks back and then changes directions around the time that KJ tucks the ball and runs to the left

It was a great play.

That needs to be bookmarked as a goal line, 4th and short, or 2 point play.

I figure we'll see that one again in a crunch time situation.

Really a great play call considering we always do some kind of reverse with Burks in the backfield.

Wish we would have run that on the 2pt against Ole Miss. we’d be 9-3.

But let's draw up a Hail Mary into quadruple coverage Kendal.

Another reason I've soured on his play calling abilities.

Goddamn you have one of the lowest football iq’s on this entire board. He didn’t dial up a heave to burks he dialed up a shovel option that was there but kJ wasn’t able to see it because the left tackle on the play didn’t do his job, got blown up so it ended up not looking as clean. kJ was afraid to pitch it so he threw it up to burks which was the backup option. And no the fact you’ve “soured” on his playcalling just shows how little you know. He’s the best coordinator we’ve had on that side of the ball since bobby P and it’s really not close.

you know it’s possible to go after more than one person? And if you noticed everybody in the recruiting thread disagreed with you because going after the no.2 receiver on a top 10 team is never a bad idea. Your a funny dude moron

Show me where the shovel pass was an option.

Spoiler alert, it wasn't.

I just found it strange that hog fans on the Twatterz and here are creaming their pants over a WR from Blow U.

Breaking news: Any fan base is going to be excited about potentially adding the former number 1 overall WR.

The really strange thing is why you think its an either/or thing. We can add this really talented WR and address issues on the line too.
