If we make the championship series I’ll be there, but timing simply didn’t work out for the first leg

I think I’m going up Thursday or Friday and coming back Tuesday.

Watch two Hogs games, catch other games as well. I pulled the same length of trip our last time in Omaha.

Radio was bitching about hotel prices, Airbnb looked affordable when I briefly glanced earlier today. Just fyi to those making the pilgrimage. If we make the final I’ll have a hard time not driving up.

You can avoid those hotels prices and stay in Lincoln or Fremont. There’s lots of public parking around the ballpark through the city you can purchase online.

But yes, downtown is high as giraffes vagina…I travel a lot so I have points to burn.

Root just didn't have it. Game was over at that point we knew we needed to try to win 2-1 or 3-2 against Anderson.

Far from over though.

Best case scenario is UCLA knocks LSU into loser's and we get them on Tuesday pitching their Sunday guy. I feel way better about beating UCLA twice than having to match up with Anderson/Eyanson back to back.

The deeper we can get into the tournament, the more our advantage grows. Very few, if any teams left have the pitching depth we do. We just don't have the consistency at the top.

That's actually a reasonable way back...

I think he was fine. He got too cute after being up 0-2 on a couple guys in the second. The bunt was just a great play by LSU. Then a weakly hit ball dropped.

Mostly bad luck and clutch play by LSU.

He clearly was not fine. He absolutely imploded. And you forgot a hit by pitch.

Yep. Stated the same. Need UCLA to win on Monday.

Dave won’t do it, but I would pitch Bidelcheese (sp?) against MSU and have Batesville’s finest rdy for Tuesday.

Wouldn't be shocked to see Root on Tuesday if we get there.

Breaking ball in the dirt when a guy squared to bunt. Then got a Taylor made double play that we couldn’t turn.

Maybe not his best stuff but LSU never barreled him and he had decent control. He didn’t want to come out and was clearly pissed.

Only if Wood pitches Monday, otherwise I would be. You have to use him and Wood to make the finals. If cheese pitches Monday, Wood is completely rested. No reason not to pitch the rested guy and give root the most rest possible.

2 walks and a HBP is not decent control.
