Not a great outing by Root but the defense didn’t do him any favors. I’m used to seeing DVH coached teams play elite defense. I bet that will get better as the year goes on.
Ole miss showed a lot of respect. Threw their best BP arms in a game that was never really close. Should have a pitching advantage the last 2 games. Hopefully will still win the series.

I believed we were going to make a run on them in the middle innings but we fell short. I do think that after opening jitters the pitching will improve.
We’ve got a nice hitting lineup so a tweak here and there it should work out. I really like seeing Iredale coming to bat after K Aloy, that’s always great potential for success. I like this team.

Incredibly huge series win against a really good Ole Miss team on the road.
Proud of our offense for battling back in both wins after starting out behind the 8 ball and having to gut through a terrible first inning.
We scored 12 runs in both game 2 and game 3. For reference, we only scored 10 runs in a conference game once (!) last season.
