We should never trot out a lineup that has both Rowland and Wilmsmeyer in it.
We had two automatic outs back to back in last year’s batting order with Rowland and Bolton.

Rowland doesn’t ever need to see the field again on a weekend.
He was an automatic out last year and a sub-Mendoza Line hitter, and looks to have somehow gotten worse both at the plate and behind it this year.

If he can't be one of the best defensive catchers in the league there's absolutely no point in playing him.

This pitching deserves a better defense behind it. It's awful. Even when we execute it looks shaky. Missing cutoffs. Multiple overthrows. Can't catch. It's just bad.

And to think just 2 years ago we had an IF with Wallace, Battles, and Moore, with Stovall and Slavens platooning at 1st.
