But if you can't crack the rotation with our worst OF ever then times up.
Especially with Wilmsmeyer barely above Mendoza, another bust.

Ty was I guess a minor bust. He was never a high end prospect at all and his other 2 years at Mizzou were closer to this year batting .240 and .260. He had one outlier year and we jumped. Whiff.
Jones was an elite prospect though. And you could see the pop in his bat but woof zero plate vision or discipline.

I like to think we caught the foul ball, and the resulting catharsis killed our fanbase. We are now in hell

Or won the following game...
The Red Sox blamed Buckner for years ignoring the additional game played that decided the series.

Another SEC team that has never won a natty in baseball will do it here shortly baws. Good for them.

Dont worry Dave will win his one day.

Maybe the whole conference can win before us? That would be the noble thing to do

You're barely exaggerating. Since DVH became the coach, the winner of the CWS this year will mean 7 out of the other 13 SEC teams have won a title. Just since he's been hired. With two more of the remaining six tying our high-water mark of runner-up. If you include Texas and Oklahoma, that's 8 of the other 15, and three of the remaining seven. So, over half the conference. It's worth noting that six of those seven/eight are first-time winners, and three of those teams have won more than one.
I get that this game is a fickle mistress, but that trend has to mean something. And regardless of everything, it's getting old being upset at our own field after being ranked in the top five all season long. This is three out of four years now, with one of those years being the best team we've ever had. Baseball is unique in that the first couple rounds of the tournament aren't played at neutral locations. Imagine if you could host the opposing team in basketball all the way up to the Elite Eight if you maintained a high enough ranking. It's a complete game changer in making deep tourney runs. And it's not like we rely solely on luck to get there - we play in the toughest baseball conference in the nation, and we usually go entirely undefeated at home. It's been consistent for the past several years, so it's mind-boggling how we keep shitting the bed at home against lesser competition after running the table from February to June.
DVH has to make some staff changes or something. Our lack of offense and becoming a different team entirely during the tournament is putting him in the bottom half of the conference, and he's just been too good of a coach for that to be his legacy at the end of the day.

Georgia finally wised up and canned their high floor, low ceiling HC.
Arkansas will in no way, shape or form ever have the balls to do that.
And now, they have missed their window with their Kirby Smart (Vitello).
But hey! That's just baseball!

Sucks being a Razorback fan.
DVH better get us back to Omaha next year.
Seeing other SEC teams win the big one before us is getting quite old.

Be careful what you wish for, this is Arkansas. We replaced Nolan Richardson with fricking Stan Heath. Our replacement for Petrino was a fat drunk and we then downgraded from him

Prepare for Nate or Matt to become the HC. That would be so Arkansas

Whichever one we didn't promote would probably go off and start winning nattys somewhere else. It's our destiny to witness such things.
