I like how we have a quality defense to go against, and vice versa, both sides will benefit.

While I don't expect our secondary to be world beaters I think they will be greatly improved over the product we saw last year. Woodson is legit as a coach.

The good thing about the secondary is that it quite literally cannot be worse than last year.

Avoid The Follow on Hogs+ if you don't want to set yourself up for disappointment.
You'll walk away thinking we're the darkhorse to win the SEC.
1. We're bigger, stronger, faster. Ben Sowders says our team metrics are higher than UGA's was his last year there when they won the title.
2. Pittman says this is the first year he's not looked at his roster and thought, "Lord we've got to cover this weakness and pray they don't find this guy."
3. When Asked about Enos, Pittman acknowledged Briles was a good coach, but said Dan Enos is the best play caller he's ever seen. Says we won't be going up temp near as much, and Enos offense provides more opportunities and plays scheme wise.
4. Alfahiym Walcott will be your favorite player.
5. Defensive line is at a point where they could go 3 deep depth wise and rotate them out to keep them fresh.
6. Team is actually a team. Sowders has done an awesome job uniting them in the locker room. There is no division like there was last year.
7. Sowders iirc said something about how weak we were last year and kept folding in close games. His goal is stronger, faster, better conditioned to overcome that.

I'm curious to see what the Geffrard kid we got out of Georgia has done with himself. He was 6'6 350 in high school. Got here the first of May and is now 6'6 394.
Hopefully thats cutting fat and adding muscle.

Watched it last night on YouTube. As someone who usually is cynical and avoids the hype, it even fired me up.
Sowders is a dude. He reminds me of a bit of Veltkamp, who was Petrino’s S&C coach here, with a little Scott Cochran mixed in.
He went back and watched all of last year’s games, and outright said we folded in several games and that S&C looked to have been the difference in some of our close losses and blown leads.

I've completely avoided the preseason hype this year. I read the bios of our two deep that was posted here the other day and couldn't help but get a little excited. Then I see a thread on the rant about how our composite talent is 13th out of 14 SEC teams.
Granted there isn't much difference in teams 7-13. But the difference between us and the top dogs is almost insurmountable. This team definitely has a ceiling.

A lot of insinuations in that video that Sowders is bringing the team together more than last year. Definitely sounds like the rumors we heard we true about Walker creating a division in the locker room.

I might just be drunk on kool-aid but this team just feels different y'all. Not saying we're gonna win the natty but I think we're poised to hit the more optimistic side of predictions this year.
