I'd be shocked if we run into a team with more team speed than TCU this year. Their whole lineup can fly.

I’d hope so. Our “defensive catcher” has been abused tonight. Probably the most concerning thing from this game.

His throws haven't been great, but most of the steals were on the pitcher. Way too slow to the plate.

I think DVH was misquoted.

I think he said “derpiest pitching staff in the country.”

Trying to figure out why their freshmen are shutting our offense down while ours look like they've never stood on a mound before.

Maybe the 9th pitcher can be the 2nd pitcher to not suck.

And he hits a batter on the first pitch.

Probably going to set an NCAA record for steals across college baseball this year when you can simply time up when you steal with the pitch clock

11 walks, 3 hit batters, 18 runs, 19 hits given up.

Matt Hobbs is a con artist.

Really good point. That and the limited amount of pickoff attempts.

Wonder if we see Jayson Jones at 3B tomorrow.
He homered tonight so I think that's a safe bet.

He faced three batters and gave up a hit and two walks. Didn't record an out before he was pulled.

Anytime I think of Wes Johnson at LSU, smoke comes out of my ears.

ETA: One of my favorite Wes Johnson visit to the mound moments...one of our pitchers was having trouble finding the zone, which warranted a mound visit by WJ. WJ asked him "What's going on? Your arm bothering you?" Our pitcher responded "No, everything's fine." Then, WJ said "Well, throw strikes!" WJ walked back to the dugout and the pitcher starting throwing strikes.

The whole mound visit/exchange might have taken seven seconds total. It was funny to watch.

Not making any changes with Hobbs and Thompson is going to be very frustrating this year.

The CWS run saved them both last year.
