We shouldn’t have to pull a Charley Boyce with one of our pitchers to fend off Santa Clara. This isn’t what I wanted for us.

Yep. This one is on the offense.

Tygart gave a damn heroic effort, reminiscent of Kopps starting against NC State. Too bad our offense — like they did against NC State in game 3 — came up small.

Who had McEntire and Tygart outperforming Smith and Hollan on their Regional bingo card?

Hell, who had Hollan and Smith going a combined 3.1 innings in their starts?

It has only been done three times.

Losing to TCU isn't bad but a loss to this team in an elimination game is inexcusable.

They both just completely screwed us. We all knew that’s the one thing we couldn’t afford.

Does that mean they’re available tomorrow if we win

I'm really aggravated we are using McEntire up against Santa Clara. It'll be interesting to see who wins it all.

Whatever the formula is to win it all, we still haven't figured it out.

Hollan may start.

Both are absolutely available to pitch if we win tonight.

Remember, Hagen got shelled in game 1 against OK State last year and ended up coming back 2 days later to close out game 3.

Just couldn't overcome the loss of arms in the end. We had enough to win over a weekend but that was it.

Funnily enough at the end of the day I don't think DVH was blowing too much smoke in the beginning of the year about the pitching staff. Picturing what we have now with the additions of Wiggins, Carter, and Frank and we're probably overwhelming favorites.

The only sure things in life are death, taxes, insurance, and Kendall Diggs with runners on base.

I’ll give him credit, he went on a tear in SEC play down the stretch but has since regressed back to his 3 outcome form.
