I’ll take that over Texas being our number 2 like I’ve previously seen.

Oh boy...Gage may be done.

Note from @RazorbackBSB’s Dave Van Horn in postgame…After Gage Wood’s velo was down at 91-92 today after being more like 95 earlier this season, and with three straight tough outings, the staff will have to decide this week whether they can use him this weekend in a regional.

OU is a really tough 3, they are hot at the right time just like last year.

I don't think the recent outings from Gage have shown he should be used.

I'd sit him for the season.

He hasn't been the same the last month and hasn't pitched much.

Given that statement right after the game, I'd be surprised if he pitched at least for the regional but likely season yeah.

He'll be the yearly TJ guy right before the season starts next year.

I feel like Wood went down after his on air interview during the game a couple weeks ago

All of his bad outings have been away from buam. If he’s not injured I’d give him another shot. After smith, HH, Mac and tygart who do we really trust?

I trust Morris more than I trust Ledbetter at this point.

I’ve said this before as well.

This team has too many parallels to 2021 for my comfort. Hitting the ball well but a penchant for cold streaks, and a top heavy rotation undermined by an extremely shallow pen.

Wood seems to be suffering the same fate this year as Tygart did last year. Freshman phenom that burst onto the scene, then got worn down and hit the freshman wall from continually being stretched for 7+ out saves and ultimately falls apart due to control issues. Tygart was money last year by midseason, but he semi-collapsed down the stretch last year to the point where he was basically unusable by the postseason. I fear Wood is on the same trajectory.

It really is uncanny how similar Wood’s path has been to Tygart’s

A hog fan on Reddit posted this about the SEC tourney.

In that video he says the best number of games to play in the SEC tournament is three, so that’s good.

I think the squad needs a break. Maybe a water park, a few beers, kooz...then get locked in.

DBU would be a tough out as well

DVH called out the offense in the post game today particularly 1-5 because he knows those guys decide how far we go in the postseason.

Our bottom of the order guys got on base and provided opportunities as the lineup rolls over.

Pretty dumb that the top 2 seeds are out of the tournament after one loss... Championship game just feels pointless
