This bullpen is so bad. At some point we have to get more economical with how we use our stud pitchers.
Not sure we can keep Hagen Smith and Gage Wood in their niche roles like we have Tennessee’s depth of pitching talent.

I don’t feel good about this 9th at all.

Coil had me biting my fingernails down to the nub after giving up that leadoff homer and then nearly walking the second batter, but he found a way.

This not a team of destiny, but we keep finding ways to more or less win.
Quite a few years back I called Missouri a "zombie" football team in that they looked bad in every game... and shuffled their way to an SEC East championship.
This may be our zombie team that just keeps stumbling forward.

Even with the shitty pitching today we managed to sweep a horrible Aggie team at home.
If we can win 2 of the next 3 series, national lock in the radar.

The whole weekend was a great response to an all around awful 4 game stretch from last weekend through Missouri State.

This is a scrappy bunch…when we get Wegner, Jossenberger, and Tygart all back full tilt, Hogs will be a damned tough out.
While today was nearly a debacle, it was good to get those arms action. I thought Coil did a good job filling up the zone. Sometimes a guy puts a good swing on it.

I missed watching the game and didn’t know this and am shocked and glad. Hope it continues.
My 10 year old grandson, Russ, and I watched the games last year and Gregory, bless his heart, became our “oh no” guy. Bases loaded and two outs and who’s our batter? Gregory!
This year for us it has been Bolton and Rowland but both seem to be improving so maybe we won’t have to lament when a batter comes to the plate.
Plus Dave calling for some bunts is a very good thing.
