I still like Ellis a lot, just wasn't a great night for him. Shows how Devo can have a sneaky big impact on games, and still plays an important role, even in a loaded backcourt. (I've got the thread saying we're better off without him in mind, here)
Once he realizes he no longer has to force the issue he will be fine.
You can tell he was pressing last night, driving into some bad spots on offense. I think Muss will be able to coach that out of him.
We don't need him to be a primary scorer. His points are going to come off pick and rolls, and playing under control.

Was Really impressed with harris. Led the team in rebounds and only played 11 minutes.

The dude's acceleration with the ball in his hands is absolutely unreal.

I remember when games like this used to be a grind until the last 5 minutes

Battle was also impressive last night.
I'm just relieved we can finally shoot teams out of a zone most nights.

Muss post games notes:
* Guys are playing there way in and out of rotations. "we'll probably shorten the rotation, when that is I don't know"
* Need more rebounds from guards, pointed out Ellis and Blocker specifically
* "Our PG play... we've gotta take better care of the ball"
* Threw out that he's thinking about sliding Devo over to point more.
* Noted TB is improved as a shooter
* Battle has bought in on defense, as vocal as anyone on the court
* Disappointed with rim protection in the 2nd half. Thought Graham did the best job
* Ellis didn't practice most of the week, wasn't sure he would play. Tweaked his knee, MRI came back clean.
* Didn't play Mark at PG vs Alcorn, probably will some going forward. Wants him to get reps at PG

Probably down to an eight man rotation before they head to the Bahamas.

Yeah, he mentioned specifically 8 or 9

I just feel like this rotation will change quite a bit throughout the season.
if the SEC refs are foul happy per usual, you're going to need 9 or 10 players, which we have.
I cannot wait to watch teams try to sit back in zone against this bunch

The way I see it right now:
Locks for playing time: TB, Mark, Battle, Devo, Ellis
Likely in the rotation: Lawson, Makhi, Graham
Outside looking in: Fall, Blocker, Davenport, Pinion, Harris
I could be wrong on Davenport, since he's been playing quite a bit. I'm just not personally a big fan of his game.
Blocker has looked good too, it's just a matter of who he's competing with for time.
Fall looks like he's still adjusting, not hard to see the potential though
Pinion, I just don't see it happening this year.

Fall and Harris I definitely think are out. I could see Muss stretching it to 9 this year so the last spot comes down to Davenport, Pinion and Blocker. Probably just depends if we need shooting or defense for that particular game.

A wealth of riches is a good problem to have

I hope Muss doesn't give up on Fall. I really like how he looks. He just needs reps.

Fall is a project that is almost certainly a year away. I think he is going to be dominate college basketball player in year 2 and 3. I think this only his 5th year or organized basketball. He is far to raw to play in any meaningful games this year IMO

Most people don't know what you're talking about Pio. At least provide them a link to the song you're talking about:
