How the F did we lose to Vandy.

They scored 64 points in the 2nd half is how.
I don’t know how long this team will hold up but they are starting to click. If Devo and RC4 can keep their offense going and our defense keeps improving we got a shot at another run to end the year.
I will say I’m looking forward to seeing the Mitchell vs Tshiebwe battle Tuesday night.
Hopefully we can route Scar Saturday and get the heavy minute guys some breaks.
The UK game is a very winnable game. I’ve watched a few UK games this year and their screen defense is atrocious. If we can get Tshiebwe away from the basket we can eat down low.

Now back to back road games.
One against the worst power 5 team in CBB and the other underperforming even at home Kentucky.
Road games. Wouldn't be surprised if we lose 'em both.

Some perspective on Devo - he's averaging 1.8 turnovers per game on the year. It has increased to 2.6 per game in conference play.
The gold standard for PG at Arkansas, Corey Beck, averaged 2.7 per game for his career.
The most impressive guard we've faced all year, Keyonte George, is averaging 2.9 on the year.
These aren't apples to apples comparisons, I get that. And Devo isn't asked to run the offense every time up the court. But I think the turnovers get a disproportionate amount of attention from the fans because they catch the eye more easily.
It's not as easy to notice how many times he forces the ball out of the best offensive player on the opposing team's hands by staying in front of him and harassing him all game.
Those same passes that are sometimes eye popping turnovers sometimes lead to openings for a team that has struggled to create often times offensively.
And he's quietly become a legitimate 3 point threat. He's shooting 40% in conference play. Up from 27% last season. I hope everyone understands the amount of work that's gone on behind the scenes for this kind of improvement, while steadily improving at every other facet of his game as well. Remember back to his first year - he had no 3 ball at all. 2 of 13 the whole year.
He's clearly a gym rat - this same guy that internet fans who have no idea of what actually happened are accusing of trying to quit the team because he was mad about not getting the ball enough.
I see everywhere fans jumping on Devo for everything he does wrong. I just don't get it - I'm not saying he's a perfect player by any means, but a lot of y'all are under appreciating, even disrespecting, one of the hardest working, tough players we've had in a long time. Sometimes you take the good with the bad and just support a player when it's clear they're out there giving their all.

Great post about Devo, Sultan. Hard to not like a homegrown kid who works his tail off and loves being a Hog.

Was a beast defensively and 13 rebounds. Timing and vertical defense was great. Hope this continues.
Pleasantly surprised how hard both twins play and love to body up.

Can't afford to lose to Carolina.
Arkansas and LSU are the only SEC teams without a road win.
