Per Eric Musselman, it was an Aztec fan who came down and said something during the postgame handshake line. Words were exchanged.

Going forward, Devo does NOT need to see the floor hardly ever again.

I think Devo is far better than many realize. He's currently 4th on the team in turnovers and 2nd in minutes played. He's probably not a great fit for the system Muss uses, however.

Hes a good defensive player but I think he would be best suited for 10-15 minutes a game.

Y'all don't realize how much SDSU fans dislike Muss. Nevada and SDSU had some huge battles in the MWC just a few years ago.

They wanted to beat Muss so bad tonight....hence the SDSU fan rushing the Arkansas staff on the court postgame.

But congrats to Eric for selling out and leaving Reno for Arkansas.

We will certainly miss his nervous breakdowns here in San Diego.

Johnson was awesome tonight.

I'm surprised Muss hasn't been using him more. I thought he looked great in Barcelona also.

He's good for small ball lineups but when it comes to real teams like Creighton, the SEC, etc...he's useless. He's not tall, athletic, nor skilled enough even over the Mitchell twins to warrant anything over garbage minutes. He knows his role and loves it. He's the crazy guy you want on your side in a bar fight or bench clearing brawls.

We have so many great retro threads to choose from and we’ve done I think 1-2.

It’s baffling.

We save Devo for March. That’s when he shines

In all honesty he’s a coachable player, and he knows what Muss wants. He just hasn’t developed the shooting ability you would like to see for a guard. I think Devo is at his best driving the lane and shooting his little pull up jumper, or kicking it out. He can blow by anyone, but his size prevents him from going up strong like AB.

He’s been the glue guy for Muss since day 1. And he will be an important part of this years team due to our youth. There will be some shakiness and he can come in and settle us down.

Effort is never an issue with him

It will only get better when NSJ returns. He will have someone else help share the load on offense. Saving his legs for defense.

One more thing..

Our bigs, sans Kamani, need a lot of work on post defense. They play extremely soft and are weak on help-side defense. Now a lot of that is due to their inexperience with The new system they are learning.

Our bigs should be getting WAY more blocks/rebounds than they currently are. I mean our length from our guards will funnel opponents guards right to them. We just need to be better at altering shots, blocking shots, and grabbing boards.

Muss himself has mentioned how we need to get better at fronting the post. I’ve noticed the new bigs have struggled there.

I think as the season goes on our defense should be light years better than it currently is, which is hard to believe.

I’m freaking pumped about how good this team could get.

At this point it doesn’t matter but you bet he was going to play in Maui.

Something else is going on and I’m not sure why everyone is hating on me for talking about it.

Actually I am.

Maybe he was injured and Muss is letting him get 110% better. Team sees it can win without him. He sees it, but also sees he could've been a game changer and we when the whole thing v. 3rd. Gotta be agonizing to see Council, Black, Brazile get all the accolades and him not be mentioned.

The message may be that it'd sure be damn nice to have you, but we're a final four team without you so decide if you're all in or not.

With a knee injury, I 100% support him resting it until it's fully healed. Absolutely no reason to come back too soon. Still plenty of time before conference play, let's other guys get time and lights a fire under his arse to whip some arse when he gets back on the court.

The crazy thing with this team is there's so much room for improvement. We are playing like absolute garbage at times (turnovers, defensive breakdowns, etc) and were already a nightmare for teams.

The one thing that helps calm my concern about NSJ is that he’s always one of the most active dudes on the bench.
