They've faced a few. Alabama and Iowa state are higher rated defenses than us. They won those but they were a long time ago obviously.

Creighton I think is the only comparably rated defense they've played recently and they split games with them 1-1

Nobody is picking Arkansas. Not a single one. In fact, they seem to be insinuating that UConn is a lock for the elite 8.

I like us in this role. I hope their guys are reading it all and watching all the podcast.

They finished 4th in the big east and lost 8 games. We shouldn’t be scared of them. This win streak they are on is made up of mainly wins over Georgetown, St John’s, Providence, Seton Hall, DePaul, and Villanova.

They beat a young Bama team who was breaking in freshman not the Bama team in the running for a National Title. That’s their centerpiece win everybody uses.

If we’d spent the last two months playing the bottom half of the SEC we’d have a comparable record and metrics.

If we can get by Uconn I like getting to face either UCLA or Gonzaga. Both more winnable than our last 2 elite 8 opponents.

Especially Gonzaga. I'm sure Muss can rely a lot on the prep from last year. They have some different personnel but still pretty similar overall.

A lot of our success comes when we can play aggressive on defense. If the officials call it tight , that favors UCONN. If we get Doug Shows, we are fricked

UConn has a very good offense, but I doubt that they've played a defense quite as good as ours.

they have played 3 other teams that have a defense as good as ours(top 20 adj D) or better and offense as good as ours or better(top 50 adj O)

Alabama, who they smoked on a neutral court

St Marys, who played them close until their best player got injured

Creighton 2x, beat them at home, lost to them away

Bama is the concerning one, but it was close until 6-7 mins left when Uconn finished on a 21-2 run after Bama couldnt hit any shots. Bama turned the ball over 21 times that game and shot 2/10 from 3p in the second half. But Bama is beatable when they cant hit 3's and that is what happened in the second half.

UConn is similar. Arkansas ranks 333rd in sending opponents to the line. UConn ranks 319th. both teams send opponents to the foul line a lot.

We better be practicting FT's, because UConn shoots them well(75.8% vs. our 69.6%) and their big, Sanogo shoots 78%

another factor. per torvik, UConn is 1-5 in close games this year, so when they arent blowing you out, they are losing

I’m just so happy to be excited/nervous about big March tournament games again.

I watched the Alabama/UConn game. Alabama hadn't found it's chemistry, yet. It wasn't the same Alabama team that we played.

The Creighton games were interesting, because both teams played well. I think that's a better measuring stick.

Overall, I think UConn is very good, but beatable. It's not like last year, when I knew that we'd struggle to rebound against Duke and it would kill our chance of winning.

Welp guys we've gone to 3 straight sweet 16s. That's still a very respectable streak.

UConn is a lot better than Kansas and Arkansas would be hard pressed to stay competitive with them.

You ain’t beating anybody shooting 70% when you don’t rebound, or shoot worth a crap.

I knew UConn was the best rebounding team in the country but GEESH. This is a blood bath.

Yeah I feel a little better knowing that even if we played our best possible game, I still don’t think we keep it close

Glad these guys made it to the s16. Just a terrible draw
