AB in a walking boot?

I wouldn’t be surprised. He’s been playing hurt all year. That’s why I’m fine with the early exit. We’ve got guys that need a week off.

If we lose Thursday, coach might even give them the rest of the season off

Well no shite Sherlock.

Our legs have been gone for weeks. Why do you think we have had so many collapses in the second half the last two weeks? Black has been playing banged up, Smith still doesn’t have game legs, and council, who knows where he’s been but he’s only scored 12 points over the last 4 games.

We are the second best FG% team in the SEC this year. Problem is when your legs are shot that affects your defense and you do stuff like blow 13 pt leads.

Muss has said many times we aren’t even practicing much between games to try and get a break. Week off will do them some good and let their bodies heal up a little.

If we can get past Illinois we can give Kansas some fits. Not saying we would win but they struggle against length.

If you can have a miracle weekend and knock off those two you’re likely getting Iona or St Mary’s in the Sweet 16. Both we could beat. From there probably TCU or UCLA in the elite 8. Who knows how those games would go.

When do they set the times for the games after round 1? Do they already have Kansas vs Hogs/Ill set for Saturday? Hopeful for primetime match up if we get a win this Thursday.

They will announce that one Thursday night.

We play after the Kansas game so I figure we will be a Saturday afternoon game.

I think the schedule is already set. They might be able to swap if an upset happens or something, but honestly I think they don’t care. It is what it is…

This. They typically will keep the game around the same time of day as your first game was but they’ll adjust a little bit to make sure the best matchups get the best possible ratings.

They like blue bloods in primetime.

I sure hope we get tourney Devo. He's been the difference maker the past couple years.

Wouldn’t surprise me at all if they all turned it on at the tournament.

Or maybe thats just wishful thinking…

I’m hoping that Council playing fewer minutes in the SECT is a sign of things to come in the tournament. I want the ball with Nick, Devo or AB and preferably in that order. Honestly I’d probably lean Devo and then Nick and AB with a gun to my head and the game on the line. Everyone else needs to jump in the backseat the rest of the way.

Council needs to pull his head of his arse. NSJ com8ng back pretty much put him in "dgaf" mode for whatever reason like he feels betrayed or something.

He probably does feel betrayed. Pretty much all of Nicks shots and minutes were his.

For the record, Council has a better FG% and FT% than both Devo and Smith.

He's just got to stop settling for one-on-one midrange jumpers. He's shooting 28% from the floor post-Alabama loss because he seems content to just hang out around the perimeter and watch.

He’s got my turn syndrome. Devo has it too. Hopefully they can put that aside for the dance.

I’d really like to see our guards playing time managed to keep every from getting tired. 2nd half collapses are what’s holding this team back.
