What I like, and this is going to sound odd, in the games that have counted this year we haven't looked like we are going all out to win at any cost.
We look like an executioner going to the chopping block to dispatch someone. Another day at the office putting someone away.
Arkansas hasn't really throttled things up yet but we are still easily handling teams that would be early season headaches for a lot of clubs. Historically Muss Bus has been weakest early in the season and peaks right before the Big Dance.
If we can keep looking good early... we could be real nightmares when things really count in the tourney.

Obviously I don’t like Texas being good but after the exhibition game I’m glad they are. We probably couldn’t have asked for a better opportunity for this team to mature than taking an arse kicking by a really good experienced team at their place.

I think Texas being good was a pill we all knew we'd have to swallow as soon as they hired Beard. That's as much of a can't miss hire as Muss is.

Muss said we are done with high school recruiting for next year. Guessing he’s going portal for the rest.

To be honest, we may not need as huge of a haul from the portal next year like we did this year. The twins, Graham, Council, and even Brazile could all return. Brazile is about the only one for now whom some project to be gone to the NBA if he keeps playing the way he is.

Even for the early season that is not a great loss to be carrying around behind you for the rest of the year.

I still think they were mostly a fraud last year. They didn't deserve the NCAA bid and they can keep crying about it. Decent teams don't lose like 10 straight conference games. I'm glad to see them suffer in everything.

Council will be 1st rounder if he keeps playing like he has so far and Brazille probably a lottery pick, which means both guys will be gone, if so.
What's going to clog up the roster for non "elite" HS recruits will be the likes of Ford, Pinion, Dunning, the Twins, Devo and probably Graham being on the roster still next year.
Add those 7, plus the two 5* HS kids in Blocker and Fall, and you've basically only got 4-5 roster spots left to fill up with top flight portal guys to round out a starting rotation.
Unless Muss runs off some guys (which I could see happening, he really doesn't have room for any more HS kids unless they are absolute slam dunk lottery picks.
