I think it was pretty obvious that Muss was going to use Brazile as an outside shooting threat.
Yeah, I agree with you. Brazile could also drive some. Along with his freakish abilities around the rim, these are all things no single player can replace.
I do wish Pinion had received more playing time, though. It seemed like Muss was thinking about it for a while and then quit. We may have lost some defensive prowess, but it may have been worth it.

Funny how no one is screaming for dunning or ford to get more run.
Wonder why Pinion?
For me it was because he's supposed to be a good shooter. He shot well in the clips I'd seen of him. Having said that, just checked his high school stats and they're not really indicative of a great 3pt shooter, imo. It looks like he shot 33% for his career, but it was high school.
I wouldn't have minded seeing more of Dunning, but I don't know that he's ready to add much, yet. Ford just doesn't fit, unless you want someone to handle the ball and drive inside, which we already have with Devo, Black and Council. I'm not sure what Ford could have added to this team?

Ford, Dunning, and probably Pinion will all transfer out after the season. I don't see any path for them to ever play any kind of meaningful minutes especially if they don't get playing time to develop.
Amazing that all 3 of them would probably be playing 30 mins/game and actually probably for together pretty well on a Mike Anderson team.

Problem is that Mike probably wouldn’t have been able to get them…..haha

I was hoping they'd be fringe players he'd keep around to develop into the future elder statesmen of the roster similar to Devo. The fact that their PT is basically nonexistent is worrisome, though. Are there bad reports/rumors out of practice about them?

I think Muss can get them to stick around, he had to play the 5 stars this year because why wouldn’t he.
Hubert Davis at UNC had a similar situation last year, he was playing the “stars” but they weren’t gelling, it was only when he started playing the “less talented” players that they had success. Made it to the championship as an 8 seed IIRC.
We’ll never know this year though because Muss stuck with his lineup. Wish he would have worked some more guys in to see how they handled it.

He did and we beat Ole Miss and Mizzou.

Haha good point. We lose to Mizzou twice without Pinion.

I think it's just engrained in Muss that, when in doubt, double, triple, and quadruple down on defense and size over everything and the offense will settle itself out.
That strategy has actually worked pretty well the past 2 yrs, but he also had a great two-way big man and better shooters/scorers at multiple positions.
It's obvious he's no longer Going to play Pinion and Dunning and Ford haven't been sighted in weeks, but he desperately needs an offensive spark and someone who doesn't shite the bed in the last 5 mins of the game.

Wouldn't mind getting Omar El-Sheik from asu.

Norchad Omier has been great for Miami, I really wanted him from ASU. Double double in almost every ACC game.

Randomly rode a ski lift in Crested Butte once with T wil so not going to say that. Was a nice dude.
Let’s just say the playbook is tough.

Sounds like a good fit for our bench.

Dunning is probably gone. I could see Ford and Pinion sticking around to develop
