Yeah, I will listen to guys like Biddy when they say there are talks happening. When they say things like 60/40 I don't put any stock in it. No way they could really know that other than someone guessing.
By the way, that Houston board is starting to melt a bit. My favorite post is a guy that thinks it's an SEC conspiracy. We are just helping our conference brother Kentucky by distracting their team.

I have wondered if Sampson isn't doing his buddy HY a favor and taking the brunt of the rumors, getting him a raise, and keeping the heat off HY so he can hire his real candidate.

I've wondered that as well. I haven't seen enough of HY to know what level of gamesmanship he operates with.

I hate the phrase..win win...Having said that if Sampson turns out to be our best choice so be it. Those worrying about his age aren't looking at this the right way. In 5 years our job will be far more attractive than it is now. So we get 5 to 10 years out of him. Then we have a much stronger program. Its a win win.
But Beard would still be my first choice.
