Is Arkansas HS football pretty good?

It has improved quite a bit. Although, the Little Rock school district has fallen on hard times in producing D1 football players.

Right now, the state only has a top 13 on 247. So, considering our neighboring states, that is not very many quality D1 kids. Of those 13, 3 are committed to Arkansas, one to Wake Forest, and another to Iowa State.

Arkansas has picked up 8 CB picks on 247 today for RB Chase Hayden. He's currently on an unofficial visit to Fayettevile.

Reported by Fox Sports that these are the players that have been granted a release by Baylor following the Art Briles firing and sexual assaults scandal.

Others don't like him as much as I do, but I think he'd be a big time get.

The kid down in Texas that I can't recall ranked something around the #35 prospect in Texas would be a strong addition too.

I absolutely love Maleek Williams' in our offense. If we could get those 3 on board and redshirt 1 or 2 I think we'd be in pretty good shape at RB to take some swings at top 10 RB's in the next couple classes.

DE Ryder Anderson has committed. Apparently he killed it at our camp earlier in the week.

Looks like a nice prospect.

I'm down for Katy players, that program is a football factory.

Doesn't look like this class is going to be rated very high, lots of mid level 3 stars, not many with upper level offers.
Bunch of good looking athletes however.
Hopefully they are largely under rated and CBB and staff have just identified and evaluated very well.
Time will tell.

Yeah I am honestly surprised we are taking this many so far. I would think they would slow play a few and hold out for bigger targets. Hopefully another example of Bret being ahead of the curve and being on great recruits first. Keep in mind I know jack shite about evaluating high school talent.

That technique has bombed for them the past two years. I think they're taking a new approach this year in recruiting after getting roasted down the stretch. Who knows if it will pay off or not because most of these guys dont look to be year one contributors. They're going to have to be developed over years before we'll know the results.

Yeah that may be the better strategy. If we have anyone big time come on board in the end we can find a way to make room.
