got curious about who else Shurburrt has predicted for Arkansas, and here are a few:
Edgar Cerenord - 3* DT
Jarvis Cooper - 3* DE/LB no UA offer. what's up with his offer list compared to his player rating? grade risk?
Josh Frazier - 4* DT
Payton Hendrix - 3* S
DeAndre Murray - 3* WR/CB
Ray Wingo - 3* RB/CB

He's a tweener. Hell of an athlete but too slow to play LB in the SEC and too small to play DE. I think they'll eventually offer him as an athlete but not until after they've seen him play during the season.

Like you I think Cooper ends up getting offered and try to find him a spot once he gets here. We always have a few guys that we take a flyer on so why not him. Other than that I'm not sure if any other in state players will get offered. Murray was probably the best bet but after not coming to camp he kind of burnt that bridge. Also the LA kids we just signed this weekend fill the same slot WR role that he would have and we aren't taking any more CBs unless they are elite players.

why would he skip camp? he's a 30 minute drive away and his offer list outside of Arkansas is mediocre.

Reeve Koehler tweeted something about 8 commits in a weekend, I've only counted 6 that have been announced. I'm assuming that Lamin and Eluemunor are the other 2.

Also, if Jermaine Elumegnes,gye,jgr commits on Wednesday, Otis will say that was the secret commit. If he sticks with UCLA, Otis will say that recruiting changes every minute and Jermaine had a last minute change of heart when speaking with the UCLA staff to inform them of his flip to Arkansas.
