Seriously though, did anyone ever realize how lazy BP was on the recruiting trail? Plus he's just such a robot kids can't relate at all.

Still a top 5 coach though talent aside

One of my best friends for 10+ years currently goes to SC and worships them, we talk recruiting all the time and he still thinks and hears that Lamin will be a "Cock lock" as he calls it.

According to their guys, him being close to home is actually a big thing for him.

I'd rather have Frazier anyways and although some don't think we get him, I think we get and feel extremely confident in that.

This is all that matters. He isn't going to be a coach that oversigns. But he evaluates players and gets underrated talent that will work in his system. Damn good coach. I miss him. Not that I don't like Beilema, I think we'll be more successful under 2beez. But I have a special place in my heart for CBMFP.

Preach Drewbs.

Hubbs, I think BP was so guarded and distrusting of everyone because of all of the sketchy shite he was always pulling, made it impossible for him to warm up to anyone.

Coach B. was made for this job. Brock Huard said he really liked the hire because of Bielema's personality and confidence, and how it is really something the program needs after all the turmoil we've been through. He was only talking about Petrino, but I think we can go ahead and lump in everything post 1976 as well.

Lets be honest, BP was a prick who only cared about winning. He didn't give two craps about the kid under the helmet. His ego was driven by winning and that was it.

He was one heck of an ego driven coach though.

I really think the only thing that will keep us from getting Lamin is distance. That might be tough to overcome in the end but over all the broad topics he keeps putting Arkansas at the top.

I am really wondering if his coach told him its time to get it together and quit dragging things out. He knows its down to two, everybody does.

I wonder if that is the case too. He went from waiting until after his season is over to deciding in a few weeks.

We owe Arkansas being what it is on the national scene to two people, Bobby Petrino and Jeff Long. Anyone who says anything different has it twisted. We were stuck being a middle of the road SEC team ever since we joined the conference, then BMFP stepped in and showed that a good coach can, and should win at this school. Jeff Long and the deep pockets that support him have committed themselves to portraying Arkansas as such a program. BP set the winning attitude. Jeff Long kept it alive by hiring a coach with the same confidence. Completely different on the moral spectrum, but it all comes down to the attitude and confidence.

I got to browsing around and noticed two people added predictions for Will Gragg to Arkansas this month. One was Shurburtt.

If Shurt predicts it, it's likely going to be true.

Guy nails damn near every prediction (including Collins).

He's correct on an 80% clip, per his profile.

I wonder who's leading in the category among national analysts. Barton S is batting 83%
