After watching film I'm impressed...I can see why they would garner an offer

McBride might be the only reach/project out of the 4 since he's not played very much football and hasn't been the star on his own teams.

I see the Dutchtown guys as bridges to the future down there. Who knows how any of them will end up but they're surely more athletic than what we have to choose from in the 7A West.

Its a little early in the process to be "reaching", no?

I read on HiV earlier about following Petrino's recruiting of QBs and WRs and going after guys he offers. The logic was because he is so great at finding tremendous talent, the supporting example? Jevontee Herndon. He might have a good year this year, but he is the definition of a recruiting "reach".

Yea, you wanna take a 6-2 WR project from Louisiana or a white 5-11 LB from Rogers Heritage?

I work about five miles from Dutchtown high and a lot of the guys who work for me kids go to/play for Dutchtown. Mosley is a bona fide D1 athlete and is very impressive. I haven't seen much of mcbride but all of the guys at work say he is lightning fast/ should run track for the hogs. I will be sure to go to a few games this year and give y'all a scouting report. Maybe Dutchtown vs East Ascencion, where Sione Paleli goes to school.

Also don't forget this is the same high school to produce:
Eddy Lacy
Landon Collins
Eric Reid

McBride ran a 10.4 100m. At worst, he can return kicks for us if he never materializes as a receiver.

I'm wondering where A&M is standing with Shorter.

Would they take Shorter with Mixon coming in for a visit early September with similar back to Shorter already committed?

No one can deny the fact that we became an option for Miami kids when we never had been with the signing of Collins and Kirkland. These Dutchtown kids have opened the door for us in a very fertile recruiting ground.

I am more excited about the two Rummel kids, if we could break into St. Aug, Edna Karr, O Perey Walker in Nola that would be huge.

Yeah having these kids on the team automatically makes their younger teammates pay attention to us to see how they are doing. Im all for it. I hope we can get a little momentum in TX this year as well

I wasn't able to find much on their 247 board but what little I could find the feel confident he will commit to them.

No joke. Dick Davenport is about to head back to the crap list. He said this week would be crazy off the hook.

Don't black folks celebrate Christmas in July more so than white folks? Or am I thinking of Juneteenth whatever that is.

I had to google it. I'm surprised that my little lilly white town never threw a celebration.

I was thinking if Christmas in July was big in the AA community then we might get some Xmas eve gifts in the form of commitments, or I'd need to go dashing through the Hood leaving cases of grape drink and diamonique earrings on doorsteps of prospects.
