Disney is one of the most mismanaged companies in the world. So many idiotic or terrible decisions, it's a wonder they can survive.

I finally dropped Direct TV after years of price increases. I bought a small smart antenna off of Amazon. My main goal was to be able to get local channels. I ended up getting seventeen channels including ABC. I don't have ESPN but a one time payment of $30 beats $230 a month every time!

I don’t think the Sling Day Pass includes local channels (ABC, Fox, CBS, NBC).
It’s got the game. Their guide lists it on both ESPNU and ESPN3

Owning a bunch of media properties helps paper over idiocy. Essentially a might makes right situation. Google just can't be beaten with Disney's "well we own half of what your customers want to watch" cudgel because YTTV is not their core business and it is a minimally viable service just with the NFL Sunday Ticket contract.

I'd do the antenna thing if I could pick up any channels, but I can't.
Part of your issue may also be your TV. It's not just the antenna as many believe that determines whether you receive channels or not.
TVs have different tuners in them, some have great tuners, some have weak crappy tuners.
I have 3 TVs, Sony 65" newer and 2 Plasmas. The Sony has its good days and its bad days depending on the weather. My antenna is hooked to all 3 and is in my attic. The plasmas have terrible tuners and I rarely ever rescind on them. The Sony however, I rescan for channels each time b/c some days it get 30+ channels, some days only 26. And a lot of those bad days I cant get CBS.
I live in Panama City so much different from your situation. I also use a Shield with greyware to watch everything and have been for over 12 years now.
If I'm in your location, I'd look into an antenna signal booster, reasonably/inexpensive priced ones do a decent job of helping. I lived in Bayview for a long time and had to have one for the plasma that worked great.
Otherwise, pick up a firestick, add a few key apps and enjoy.

Just call them and cancel and get an alternate provider. Or go to a sports bar and buy 2 large beers. I wouldn't put up with You Tube and their $20 credit.

Signed up for one month of Disney today. Had to hold my nose. One month promo is pretty cheep, though.

ESPN and its affiliates are back on our YTTV tonight. But not ABC!!! Great news. We have the digital antenna to get our local ABC. So we're set.
