Isn't it weird how terrible all our 4-5 star guys turned out to be once BoB took over? Isn't it weird how they get progressively worse the further the team is removed from a competent OC? I'm betting with one more year of BoB, all our former top ranked HS WR's wouldn't be able to catch a ball or get open with a DE covering them.

I've been trying to get that message across, but everyone wants to blame BoB.

Because BoB is the reason our offense struggles. Every time the showed our plays from behind Bryce, everyone was running deeper routes when they were all covered. We were not taking what the defense gave us. Our WRs are good enough to gain more than 70ish yards in a half.

I was at the game and I kept noticing that they weren't leaving safeties back to help on WRs. Just 1v1 most of the night. What happened to the old PA pass that every Bama QB used to have in the bag? Greg McElroy could stretch defenses and make them pay over the top. We run these quick zone reads but the defense isn't worried about that shite bc they know everything is gonna be in front of them. We have enough speed at WR to make them respect it. Bama OCs would call that play 4-5 times a game. Gotta take shots down the field. This offense gets no explosive plays unless Bryce plays houdini or Gibbs breaks ankles.

Isaiah Bond

yet on every broadcast the announcers proudly announce that gibbs is the fastest guy on the team, herbie did it again last night. with no streak patterns from gibbs at all, smh. i was looking forward to seeing what bonds could do this year. could it be that they're waiting for the perfect time to turn bonds loose on an unsuspecting defense, hmm... seems to me that gibbs and bonds could be the ointment this offense needs, at wr. but i'm just a lowly fan

DON'T talk like BAMA doesn't have a burner. Isaiah Bond can fly

On a relative scale.... Bond, at 100m, was faster than Ruggs

But Jamyr is the fastest on the team.

Bond flat ran past that Ark dude

As far as burners go, Harrell is a true burner, maybe faster than Jamo and Prentice ain't no slouch, plus Bond who was mentioned but he's a true freshman. I definitely agree we need to take shots downfield to loosen the defense. I think you run one of these on a studder/stop and go like Jamo used to run and it would be money. Do we never run these or is the question why do we never run these?

Remember that time we threw one to Drake on a go route against Florida to open the game? BooB would never.

I am amazed people don't understand you can scheme even a slow unatheltic player open.

Yeah, we schemed Bond open in the last drive vs Tenn, and Bond ran the wrong route. If he runs the correct route we win the game. We also schemed Gibbs to be covered by a LB, and hit him in the hands with a pass and he dropped it.

BoB is clearly not the answer, but BoB isn't dropping passes and running the wrong routes.

I think we have a few freshmen WRs that are going to be good Bond especially, but he is a true freshman and spends a lot of time being lost out there. We haven't signed a legit difference maker at WR out of HS since Metchie, and we haven't had a legit TE threat since Irv Smith.

No realization Latu can't block quicker defenders.

His heavy feet are the main reason he moved from OLB to TE. Not having quick feet and quick angular body adjustment is not a new thing. That issue cannot be changed, it has to be part of the scheme as far as coaching choices (if the coach understood how to scheme strengths/weaknesses).

Bama still gonna beat most anybody, but once it turns into a track meet like the game vs Tenn we are at a disadvantage

So, 2 plays. BoB’s a freaking wizard then.
