With last year's speedsters gone, who is our fastest player?

I didn't see numbers released like they were last spring. Who are the 4.3 guys if we have any?

Waddle is definitely one of them.

Can't wait to see him. I know Ruggs is a blur running down field. Not sure we have as many with the ultra elite speed as we did last year. I just want to talk football and I was wondering about it.

Ruggs seems like he flies down field. I'd also be interested in seeing Xavian Marks and Trevon Diggs 40 times.

I'd imagine Diggs is tough to beat.

Isn't Shavers a burner?

I'd say Chadarius Townsend or Henry Ruggs. But I haven't seen Jaylen Waddle yet.

Shavers does have excellent speed for 6'6" - he ran a wind-aided 4.41 as a recruit. But I don't think he's in the conversation of fastest player on Bama's team. I doubt anybody over 6'2" has a shot. The fastest players are either not-tall WRs or Corners. Outside shot for a RB, but not this year - no disrespect to Josh Jacobs.

I don't know about Waddle's top end speed, but his acceleration and braking is otherworldly

A shorter guy like Waddle will look faster than the taller guys. I'm not saying he isn't faster than others.

On the Topic of speed, Dylan Moses' 40 time in spring testing of 2017 was 4.46, which was faster than all but 2 WRs.

Brian Robinson ran a 4.41 during the same Spring testing at 6'2" 210lbs.

Townsend ran a a 4.46. DHarris ran a 4.51. Josh Jacobs ran a 4.50. Xavian Marks ran a 4.41. Jeudy ran a 4.47.

Marks and Robinson are tied for the lowest time I can find on the team. It doesn't mean they are the fastest - just the fastest times I can find for current players. I wish I could find the 2018 Spring testing numbers, but I can't track them down. I'd love to have the times for a number or WRs and Corners.
