It's not fear, his hands are mid. He had the same concentration drops last year outside. It'll improve.

Watch it again, the 2nd defender is coming down towards him and directly comes into his vision. No way for him to know he wasn’t going to get hit…he just saw flashes of white jersey

Yep. Saw it coming from his peripheral and lost concentration on the ball. Doesn't seem to catch the ball well naturally with his hands.

I agree.
His hands are mid... hence why he needs to concentrate to catch balls with his hands.
His concentrate gets broken easily when he runs through the middle which is why he has so many drops there
