Saban is very loyal to his starters, and I think he's alright with Hurts so long as he doesn't turn the ball over.

Saban has repeatedly said the passing game has to be better. Repeatedly.

I have no idea what he'll do, but people who paint him as some conservative pearl clutcher are way off. If he thinks a move needs to be made to win he does it.

I’ve been a Hurts supporter but he hasn’t handle pressure all that well in any big game over the last two years.

I think Tua will be the starter next fall and have said during the season I think he wins it in the spring the starting job. Which has been against the grain on this board save a few. I have no issue with Hurts as the starter this year and in no way the outcome last night would have been any different if Tua was in there. The team has no identity and no rhythm especially on offense. It seems to go a lot smoother with Tua when he has been in there and why I think this will be his team come next fall.

It cracks me up how quick people turn on a player. But I guess it is in some of their nature to do so.

Agree for 2017. I don't think that applies after an off-season.

I can go with that. I also think tho jalen is an asset to this team regardless of how some feel.

Please link me to the stats that proves this. What ranked team or any team for that matter has Tua beat?

Tua as a freshman is a 66 percent passer compared to Jalen best year at 61 percent. This of course with limited action. However, the percentage is also not everything please look at the td stats. Tua has 8 td's and 1 int compared to Hurts at 15 tds and 1 int. LOL Tua only has 53 attempts compared to Jalens 224 attempts. So why don't you do the math on how many that is per attempt.

I'm not gonna compare stats from appaearnces up 38-0 against exhausted starters or 2nd teamers to Jalen playing in crunch time against good teams. That's silly.

gee. So 15+% of Tagovailoa's passes are touchdowns? I don't know what the national average is, but that's pretty good.

Thanks

Yea, we are looking at Fresno, CSU, Ole Miss, TN, and Mercer. Jalen stats wouldn't be much different in those games.

Come back with that when a team like Auburn has him out in the deep water and then we will see

Auburn's bandwagon is pretty full right now but they can probably fit you on.

Again what ranked team or any team has Tua beaten? Still waiting for that stat not some numbers in garbage time.

Again I think Tua will win the starting job next year but that is based on where I think his ceiling is not on some numbers that are against basically scout team players

I think his numbers are pretty damn encouraging for a pure frosh, regardless of competition. We’ve never had a frosh with numbers like that.

But I don’t care about that. It’s the speed of release and the accuracy.

Just curious what ranked team has Jalen beat this year? Lsu and miss state are you saying Tua stats would have been worse in those games? Dude has 8 td passes. If jalen so great why doesn't he have more td passes against subpar competition 2 can play the you have played anybody game.

Jalen isn't "so great" but Tua isn't ready yet thsi year while I believed all year he would hopefully win the battle in the spring and Hurts couldnmayhe move positions to get a better shot st the NFL.

If you have a team that has a shot at a winning a national championship you don't start and unknown freshman over a guy that nearly got you there last year. I had hoped Jalen would have progressed more, and thought he had taken that next step against ms. State but he didn't follow it up.

What ranked teams that is easy? Let's start with FSU, Fresno State is now ranked, LSU and MSU. You can google in the future by the way. Was not hard but I could not find that win for Tua against anyone. Please share that link.

If Tua is so great why has Saban not started him over Jalen? Please share your expert opinion on how Saban operates here.

You make this so easy but it is entertaining so thank you

Easy? What are you celebrating? We’re staying home this year.

1. Hurts isn’t getting it done.
2. Tua simply looked like the more capable passer.
