Will Hurts & Dabol have to be better in order to beat UGA?

Or can the defense overcome enough to pull it out?

Will a 150 yard passing / 40 yard rushing performance by Hurts get it done?

Can Dabol’s gameplan of random plays and BoScar inside the red zone score enough?

Certainly possible.

Yes they will, dont leave points on the field. Go to D. Harris, I thought he could have had a great game. Better play calling for sure

If the defense plays like it did last night, and we don't turn the ball over, we can win it, though I personally think the offense will have to play better. I think we are winning in spite of Jalen Hurts and Brian Daboll, and it's possible we can do it Juan Mo Time.

UGA's strength is their running game and that's what our defense is best at defending. Though Fromm is a better passing qb than Hurts, reading defenses, checking down, and the other things good qbs do, he is no Mayfield or even as good as Stidham, and isn't as much a threat to beat you scrambling as Hurts can, but he's no slouch and certainly is mobile enough. I'd take him right now but he'd be sitting on the bench anyway, beside a better qb.

We can beat them but I sure wouldn't bet on it.

Oh yeah, and our guys can tackle. Oklahoma's apparently can not.

There is something with the D Harris not playing very much. Either he gets banged up easily in the games, or there is a problem with Hurts and Harris on the hand off when they make the read, on the rpo. I don't think any offensive coordinator will ever look good with the current set up. Hurts, Scarb, Sims and Foster are just not going to lead to many points. But, if they win, they win.

That this is true makes my stomach hurt.

This statement is correct.

He seems to get winded easy. Najee looked to be our best option with the dump off pass to a RB. Of course he only used him once.

I think since the strength of UGA is their run game we have a great chance. Our D is built to stop the run. Also if both teams commit to the run it will slow the game down and lower the score the better we fare in my opinion.

Why does Bo play so much? He’s probably the 4th best RB on the team.

I thought the game plan was pretty good last night. More runs, and quick passes. I saw 2 problems with our offense:

1) Why does Bo get so many carries when Harris is outplaying him by a wide margin? Are we worried Harris can't handle 20 carries a game? Just a head scratcher as I believe you feed the hot hand. To me this is a mistake.

2) Passing game still leaving a lot on the field. Part of it is Hurts being inaccurate (see flea flicker badly under thrown), and part of it is silly drops. Sims dropped an easy 3rd down conversion, Foster dropped what would have been a big gainer and Bo had a ball go right through his hands. If the ball hits you in the hands, you should catch it, period.

Still, I thought the creativity of the flea flicker and the pass to Payne were awesome. I liked our gameplan much better last night. Just need to feed Harris and get our guys to catch balls that hit them in the hands. And we have a good shot against UGA.

We have been winning games in spite of terrible play by Hurts for 2 years now. I will be happy when we can have a balanced offense again. Hurts is worse version of Danny Etling that can run. Single threat quarterback and I hate it. May as well run triple option until Saban wises up and ends the Hurts era.

I think that if we play the way we did last night and Jalen hits one or two of the big plays that open up (he is capable, he has before) then we win the game.

Georgia will have more offense than Clemson did. Clemson wasn't great at anything on offense. Georgia is a great running team. We will win that battle overall, but they won't just be stuffed. And they will have a couple drives where Fromm makes throws that open up runs where they move the ball.

Basically - I think that if we scratch Bo, run the 1st half offense and Jalen makes 1 or 2 big throws to open receivers we win the game. However, that isn't a given.

Was Jacobs banged up last night? Saban has referred to him as our change of pace back but I would like to see him get some of Bo’s carries.

Until Saban wises up? Do you ever look at yourself in Bama gear and call yourself coach? At holiday events everyone calls you coach and every prayer ends with "please let Saban share my wisdom".

I think UGA will be able to put up a few more points than Clemson. I'm guessing first team to 24 wins.

Yeah, he's an idiot for sure. No doubt you and several others are far better at player evaluation than Nick.
