Might as well stand on principle since even if we sign some 20 million dollar a year patch deal and whore ourselves out we still are playing catch up.
So noble. You must really hate it when we put bowl patches on the uniform.

Kinda. I think it’s tacky. I don’t like that every bowl is the Tampax Shell Station Bowl
You act like I’m the crazy one for being tired of everything being an ad. People pay 100s of dollars for cable just to watch commercials. Even when it’s not a commercial it’s a commercial now.

i dont like the nike swoosh on the jersey's. but the weird thing is, i never thought twice about seeing Riddell on the helmets. i dont like jersey's being ad space, but in todays world i get it.

It’s one thing to be tired about it and it’s another to be stubborn.

Don’t know what you’re rambling about here.

I remember my dad telling me that the original pitch of “pay tv” (cable/satellite) was it would have no ads but that lasted about a year.

I’ll try to simplify it for you
You pay for a service(let’s say cable). They shouldn’t make you watch ads for a service you’re buying. But they do and you accept it.
Now, not only are there commercials during entertainment you pay for, but there’s ads on jerseys, fields, stadiums. Your life is just a big ad. And you accept it. You are paying to be advertised to.
Hell next time you go buy a new car let them stick a big fricking McDonald’s sign on the hood for you. Chevy needs more money

Ha! Ha! That’s ridiculous, man. No car manufacturer would do that!

Best part of The Christmas Story is “Drink More Ovaltine” because it teaches you that capitalism is everywhere. Pretty much everything in life is a crummy commercial.
