You’re assuming there was a “game planning” meeting.

Seriously, who made that suggestion is a great question, but we know who had to approve it. Cole Adams has been great at fielding punts. He doesn’t have many return yards, but he can damn sure catch it. I’d like to see him some as a possession receiver!!

With that being said; You can't coach like a scared bitch. You put the ball in your playmaker hands.... point blank.

I think what we should do is not do anything creative next week. We should do things we dont normally do at all during the au game.

It's because he is explosive with the ball in his hands.

Is he really?

I knew the moment he caught that punt and started dancing he would fumble. I actually called it. Hard contact he is so soft. He is a finesse WR which, is fine but running into a bunch of dudes with a 40 yard head start is not his game.

Same. It was the most baffling coaching decision of the day, and there were several bad ones.

It was a poor decision by coaches. Yes, you’d like an explosive kick returner, but rule #1 is kick returners need sure hands. Punt returners esp need to be able to be physical.
And as was mentioned in another post, rw hasn’t exactly been explosive this year - made some nice catches, yes….explosive no.

I would let RW walk next year. Kid is talented, but doesn't put in the work needed to elevate his game. Has he been in the weight room once since he's been there?

He made some decent plays last season as a receiver but has been buried with Horton and Brooks coming on.

Exactly, and it seems Bernard is the only receiver besides Cuevas who can get open. I bet Adams would be fantastic for occasional, must have 10-15 yd passes.

Adams is dependable. Williams can take it the distance.

Heck, the fumble came after an outstanding juking return to get the yards he did.

It was a good plan, just didn’t work.

He sometimes does not know when to get down or get out of bounds.

No he’s not. They put the wrong Alabama WR on the cover of CFB…
