Why is the UGA game in Athens again?

Our last game with them was in Athens. Counting the SECCG, this will be the third time we've played the Bulldogs in Georgia -- twice in Athens; once in Atlanta.

Or am I mistaken?

Correct. I think it's because our game with Florida was at home last year.

The scheduling got all messed up when we added A&M and Mizzou and the SEC refused to go to a 9 game conference schedule. Things like this are a side effect.

Don't worry, Alabama will get Georgia in Tuscaloosa in 27 years.

Every team in the West plays their non-permanent East team on the road this season. It alternates years.

Because of expansion and I believe you only play one cross divisional opponent away. Since Bama played Tennessee every year, the other east opponent location is always opposite of that game

I think

This doesn't matter.

Bama would have played Georgia in T-Town in 2012, if it wasn't for the expansion. With that win over Georgia, that would have put Bama playing South Carolina in the 2012 SEC Championship Game.

Any word on who our non-permanent East team is next year? The schedules I've googled don't show any of the SEC games, and I'm too lazy to look up the order for the rotation.

Wow.....Brahe fact that we play USCe twice in ten years is very disappointing.
