Saban NEVER played a schedule like we just played. And he darn sure never played a schedule like this with the transfer portal, NIL etc - things that are literally what caused him to retire. He retired before any of that really went into effect.
I have said it before and will say it again even if I get downvoted into oblivion. Neither Nicholas Lou Saban nor, for that matter, Paul William Bryant could have accomplished what this program did between 2007 and 2023, in the exact manner that it was accomplished, with today’s rules in place.
But fans don’t concern themselves with such things.

Harris is trying to make a career for himself in the sports media industry. The best way to advance quickly is to trash Alabama football. He’s sold his soul to advance his career. frick him and the horse he rode in on.

He is trashing the program that made him for his own personal advancement. He should not be allowed back at BDS and if he is I hope the fans boo him loudly. He’s earned it.

Not everyone who “talks bad” about Alabama hates them. I’m as critical as anyone but that’s because I care so much. Pisses me off to see the program slip in any form whatsoever.

We have a chance to avenge the Oklahoma loss and play in the Rose Bowl. We can do this. Our OL has played good at times this year and Ty has played good this year. Find ourselves and take care of business. Who cares what anybody says.

Isn't it crazy how fans want rat poison and are getting angry at a player for not providing copious amounts?
Damian is speaking like Saban. Critical, focused on what's going wrong and demanding accountability.
It's so obvious many of the fans of Saban and his tenure never actually understood the man, what he meant by "The Process" and what determination, drive and accountability it took to create those monster teams that made other teams quit.

Kirby essentially tells kids to not come to UGA unless you absolutely love contact. His players after the game were asking how soon could they get back to practice and said they couldn’t wait until Tuesday to start hitting again.
Which is great, but we’ve also shredded him twice while healthy with our system.
Does the team have major limitations right now on the OL that require an overhaul in the offseason? Absolutely.
Did our team put together the most impressive stretch of wins in SEC history during the middle of the season when healthy? Yes.
So if Damien wants to provide critique that’s fine but not acknowledging that we haven’t had but one or two of our key starters on offense healthy in the last 3-4 games isn’t helpful critique, it comes off as kicking his own program for public applause.
How’d we look when Bryce Young got hurt and we couldn’t score on Missisippi State?
How’d we look against UGA in the championship when Jamo and Metchie went down after we’d shredded them a few weeks earlier?
It’s not unreasonable to expect someone who knows ball like he does to be objective and fair rather than opportunistic to get in shots because he’s upset at how he was received by NIL era players who frankly don’t know who he is most likely.

It's crazy that people on here are hating on Harris and Ingram after what we've seen from the running game this year. They are speaking the truth, whether you want to hear it or not.
