In short yardage situations?

We could have motioned a WR and used a RB as another option near him to carry or lead block.

Because that would be what a competent OC would do…scheme …. and we have BOB.

Look who we got as an offensive coordinator.

Really disappointed in Nick Saban

I mean people don't realize the amount of talent we just wasted.

Gibbs should have had an entire scheme of him in Wildcat, with Jace/Roydell next to him as a handoff threat, lead block and using our speedy smaller WRs (Jojo, Leary, etc) and WR motions we can quickly get the ball to attack the edges.

What a monumental disappointment.

When people realize we should be coasting to a three-peat this year and handed Georgia the easiest back-to-back in history...

They called me all sorts of names and said I knew nothing about the sport I actually played.

I know I come off rough but that is just how I was taught. Old school. Ironically these same people cry about wanting old school mentality but hate it in the same token.

In the end I just want Alabama to win. It was nothing personal against Golding the years before. It was nothing personal against Marrone (last season) and Bill O'Brien the past two season.

I’ve been telling people the same thing over the past two years. BOB was a failure and cancer to everything he touches.

Well, two reasons. The first he's not a very powerful blocker, and not exactly a power back either (although strong for his slight build). The second being he was playing with an injured shoulder coming into the game. He aggravated it within the opening series when he was slung down on it. It's a credit to him that he's fighting through whatever it is (maybe just a bad bruise, who knows).

Gibbs wouldn't be the lead blocker in the Wildcat and installing a formation and scheme has nothing to do with injury.

Bryce is injured and BOB's dumbass dropped him back to throw over 50 times.

If you want a full Wildcat package, the best player for that option would be Milroe. He is bigger than any of our RB's, strong, fast, and can even throw a little bit. His throws are not that accurate but he still has the threat to launch one if the safeties come up too much.

Milroe and R Williams for the base or Milroe and Gibbs for an edge option package.

Why haven’t you seen a simple reverse in two years?

We could come out with our regular personnel in goalline or other situations then surprise them by running wildcat with Bryce outside.

We ran two 2-point conversions and couldn't muster a play to get two yards.

That Wildcat would have easily gotten that. That was my point.

Wished BY would just keep it once or twice on the read option … would go for yards but also keep ends from crashing on the back so quickly

That would require a fraction of imagination.

This...putting Gibbs in the wildcat would pretty much be a disaster.

Direct snapping to our most explosive offensive player in power running formation would be a disaster?

Lol hey there Bill O'Brien! I didn't know you posted on the rant.

LMAO...pretty much every Alabama fan is criticizing BOB's lack of creativity and you wanna roll out the wildcat with Gibbs (who was replaced by Williams in most every short yardage situation), and with our OL? It's almost so laughably bad that I am almost surprised BOB didn't try it.

Interesting stat? As a team, 22.9% of Alabama's rushes have gone for zero or negative yards.

Wildcat isn’t a short yardage formation

It’s maddening, isn’t it? We don’t have a dominant three down back.
Quite honestly, our Wrs aren’t great blockers(ironically, Isiah Bond has been the best blocker). Offensive line is soft. The only player I’ve seen with fire is Booker.
And it’s almost a waste for us to run multiple tes.
This team has a lot of holes
