He wanted to stay at outside backer and Saban wanted to move him inside. Ironic since he ended up playing inside for them anyway.

He's been quoted saying he wanted to move ILB at Arkansas.

I think got his feelings hurt how they handled him losing his his starting job due to injury to Dallas Turner and it festered.

He'd rather play ILB for Barry Odom who is competent than a Fisher Price DC Pete Golding.

Bigger fish in a smaller pond with a more competent defensive playcaller

Arkansas is #106 in the nation total defense

LINK

It’s not going to link directly to total defense. I tried twice

Another site calculates they are #91 points per game. Bottom line is they are apparently even worse than we are. Much worse

Seems like he’s a pretty good player. Maybe we should have tried to keep him?

Exactly what makes you think we didn’t?

Didn’t want to be involved in the “Cheetah Package.”

Because our coaches FAILED. period. He's a great talent, and they didn't value him enough to get him on the field. They opted for Henry To'o To'o

They said during the Arkansas game that Alabama wanted him to add weight and play D-Line and he wanted to stay a linebacker. Don't know if it's true, just what I heard on TV.

Drew sanders left because Pittits was contacting him all year telling him to come to Arky. Sark did the same thing with a few guys on our team. Saban was not talking to guys not yet in the portal but you better believe he is now. We will have a lot of major transfers coming in this offseason.

They had him ride the bench for the entire second half of the season last year. Wanted him to move to ILB but I'm sure they wouldn't have had him starting over To'O To'O and Moody, even though he's clearly better than both.

A few, I suppose, but not many. Taking in many tranfers would make team unity harder to manage.

Moody entered the portal and was talked into staying once Drew transferred. Drew and Henry T. would've been our ILBers this season.
