I looked for but could not find the metrics you referenced. If you could provide a link, I would be grateful. My statement was simply based on observance of the games and the cumulative stats from ESPN. Moses has one INT but both LBs show only two passes defended. I don't think either has been great, but neither has been a glaring liability. Thanks for the info guys. I'll study harder next time before expressing an opinion : )

If you have time to re-watch the game take note on Moody pointing out were people need to be, were play may be going and him shoving Moses to get in position, and communicating with Moses with ease.
Not also considering him leading the team in tackles..I think he and Harris recognize & react better than Moses.

That is great to hear. Even if he can just do spot pass rush that would be a win.

That’s good to see. Even if he weren’t able to play in the SECCG, it means his injury isn’t severe and that he should be back for the playoff (assuming we’re there).

Moody is a pleasant surprise. He was almost an afterthought commitment a couple of years ago when we struck out on some bigger names. Wasn't he committed to Arkansas or Mizzou? Seems like a smart kid who has worked hard. I think he and Harris will make a great ILB tandem in 2021. Sadly, Moses has never really lived up to his billing, although it hasn't been all his fault. He's been solid, but nothing more.

Saban didn’t specifically address Harris at the press conference today.
A few questions about Moody, but no specific injury updates, unless I just missed it.

quote:That's absurd. Based on what? I've seen and played with many solid players. None of them were All-Americans or National Award Finalists. I think that his coming-off-of-a-major-knee-injury season has made you forget that he was an animal. Typically, it's 9 - 12 months just to start playing again, and about 1 full season before that person feels fully comfortable playing at full speed.

One has to wonder how Moody and Harris would play together in the middle.
Maybe Moses is more trying to survive the season so he can get paid, and I dont think there is anything wrong with that from a business perspective, but hes costing himself millions with this tentative play.
He possibly shoulda just went pro after the injury. It's hard for me to imagine an NFL team drafting him off this years film.
Something definitely wrong though.

I was super impressed with Moody the whole game.

Mose is playing solid if not spectacular! Get real guys, you've got to understand where he plays and what his responsibilities are. Saban's been very pleased with how he has progressed throughout the year and has said so on many different occasions. He's peaking at just the right time and the Bama defense as a whole is putting it all together at the right moment in time.
Here's to you D. Moses and the "D" as they're ready to tear into some gator carcasses! RTR!
