Mose is playing solid if not spectacular!

Lol... no. I’m sure he’s a good kid, and I was pulling for a fellow Louisiana guy, but let’s call a spade a spade. Dylan Moses has most certainly not been spectacular. His run defense is far below average and he doesn’t play fast. He’s not a MLB.

Right. If he’s playing spectacular, what the hell was R. Evans playing like? Ultra Spectacular? How about 2x All American Mosley? Super ultra spectacular? Because he’s definitely not playing anywhere near their level. The advanced stats don’t back it up. Even as fans we’ve seen him take every snap too. He’s doing his job decent enough so Saban has no reason to bench him nor should he. And Saban would never publicly talk down about a player, especially like I said, if he’s doing a decent enough job.

and I might add he has a hard time shedding blocks. With his speed he should be an outside LB

I'll tell CNS, he'll be pleased to know all of the naysayers on here's opinions regarding D.Moses. Might make him bench him for another 5* waiting his turn. Bullsite! If you don't appreciate the job DM is doing then you don't know much about football!

Well then, please educate me - because I see a guy who is the weakest link on our defense. Seriously, help me see it correctly

No one is saying to bench him. Just that saying he is doing a spectacular job is dumb. Is he playing as well as Foster or Mosley did? Absolutely not. Because those guys were truly spectacular. Rashaan Evans wasn’t as good as either of them but he also did a better job. You’re putting him on the same level as them. He’s closer to Wilson or Depriest.

The advance stats don’t back out his “spectacular” performance neither do his play. We have all seen every snap he has taken because this isn’t some hidden thing like practice.

Your whole counter to this is Saban knows better and is saying he’s pleased with his improvement and play. But that doesn’t necessarily mean he went from playing ok to playing excellent. It could also mean he went from struggling to playing decent enough.

You’re also working under the assumption that if Saban doesn’t bench someone or call them out specifically, they’re doing great but that isn’t true. I don’t recall Saban publicly trashing a player. Did he bench Savion Smith? He most definitely wasn’t a spectacular player, but he was still a starter because he was doing an ok enough job.

Saban said he may be questionable

quote:

Nick Saban says #Alabama is hopeful Evan Neal can play against Florida.

Still a wait-and-see thing with Christian Harris, dependent on his progress.

“In both cases, those guys are questionable to some degree."
