Milroe's issue was two fold. He was too inconsistent with his play and when he was off, he was BAAAAAD off. That's not a good combination. Just look at the Senior Bowl practices. He looked horrible and now isn't even projected in the first round in any mock drafts that have come out since the Senior Bowl.

It's one thing to be inconsistent and have off games. But when the "off games" consist of the degree of bad play that came with his "off day", it just doesn't make for a championship team. You'll be a 9-4 team.

I heard an interview with NILroe on radio this AM. He was asked about throwing and running at the combine and he danced around answering the question. Meaning he probably won’t. All of his replies were scripted and rehearsed and he was extremely stilted. I think he knows his stock is slipping and needs more time to prepare for the Pro day.

It was really painful listening to him, honestly.

After his Senior Bowl performance, my guess is his camp doesn't want to put him in any situation they don't have full control over.

No question. His "camp" is dictating every minute detail of his pre-draft process. Not that that's unusual for any of them now. But my Lord, you could almost see him breaking out the notes and reading it verbatim. It is just so artificial.

We’ve gone from “Make Their arse Quit” to “Hey, at least we didn’t lose back to back games!”

I’d be extremely grateful if I never hear the word lank again.

Unfortunately, I’ve seen many current players and recruits doing that stupid hand gesture that’s basically a copycat of Louisville’s L hand gesture. I wish that it would go away because it looks really stupid.

Milroe was not a great QB for Alabama but he clearly had good games.

I counting on it not being a thing anymore now that Milroe has shuffled off. LANK should’ve died a quick death after the Rose Bowl.

Chris Simms of NBC Sports asked Milroe that question on Wednesday. Milroe's response?

"You don’t ask a zebra to be a dog.”

Never stop lanking lol

I'm just glad he picked a zebra for this comparison instead of an apex predator like a lion or orca or something. I bet that's where he was going to go with it, because you know he's been rehearsing answers to this question, and had the sense to realize it would sound really, really bad and went with what lion's hunt instead at the last minute.

I have never seen this much conversation about a player like this and the fact y'all continue to pile on him, even when he's no longer with the team. Why not just wish him good luck and just move on.

No body is talking about the other players who's in draft. This is getting ridiculous at this point. The unhealthy obsession with Milroe and all.

Maybe because he continues to give people fodder for discussion. I thought the zebra/dog comment was hilarious. Who comes up with that analogy!!

Here's the thing ... Folks like y'all are the reason why there is continued conversations.. and when he's being asked about it, he gives his answer, and ppl will always find something wrong with it.

Stop talking about him and he wouldn't have anything to answer.. simple as that.

You should tell the zebra to stop doing interviews.

I am certainly not a fan of all this piling on and dwelling on past failure. But the question really is, was the 2024 season symptomatic of a larger problem in the program (and college athletics overall), or was it more of an anomaly?

We really won't know the answer to that for about 9 months. However, this article might provide a hint at the answer:

New mindset?
