Well, at least they're sorta in agreement on what the Wisconsin offense will do

Offense has looked very bad this year. If we can establish a run game (big ask after last week tbh), it shouldn't be all that close. Not predicting anything until things become predictable again

Think having 1 of the 2 tackles back, especially if it allows Booker to move back inside, is a huge deal in terms of the run game. Booker moving to LT downgrades 3 positions and both sub-sections on the OL (exterior, interior), because VanDerMark is at best a replacement level guard whereas Booker is a manchild on the inside.

EDIT : Looks like CFN made this exact point.

Agreed. Overall I am feeling good about how we match up with them.

Alabama is in the top 25 in pretty much every offensive category you can imagine, including having the second most touchdowns in the country and scoring 52.5 ppg..

"Very bad" my arse. The RBs are averaging 9.7 and 8.9 yards per carry, respectively. Milroe is averaging 3.7 yards per carry including sacks, and that's not including his 60 yard TD that got called back. As a team they're averaging 6 yards per carry.

The only issue I've seen with the offense is with penalties and turnovers. With a clean drive without penalties or turnovers they score TDs 90% of the time.

Wisconsin cannot compete at the highest level because their academic requirements are higher than the NCAA rules. Notre Dame is in the same boat bless their hearts. Luke Fickell, a good coach, will probably leave eventually because of this.

Notre Dame has been selling the narrative about its' academic standards for a long time. They make more than their fair share of exceptions to their standard .

Generally, this is a well-known sentiment and Gary Andersen was pretty vocal about it on his way out several years back. Most prominent example was Jordan Stevenson, who was denied admission a couple weeks before enrolling and ended up at Nebraska. Our "new" Chancellor, Jennifer Mnookin, has embraced sports at a significantly higher level than her predecessor, Rebecca Blank. Think we're still too early to know how admissions might loosen up on athletes, but there's a specific foreign-language requirement that has been (rumored) the biggest culprit. While most universities require a minimum of two years, Wisconsin requires three and admissions hasn't budged on this.

ETA: I'm not exactly how Wisconsin approaches transfers, but was announced this week that Joseph Griffin (BC transfer) did not meet transfer eligibility requirements and he won't be available until next year.

Dayne had 500 more rushing yards on the same number of carries and also had the same number of TDs. He also broke the all time career rushing record while leading Wisconsin to the BIg10 title and a Rose Bowl.

That's true but Shaun also added 323 yards and 4 TDs receiving (Dayne had 1 reception for 9 years and 0 TDs).

Shaun also returned 2 kickoffs for 90 yards and 1 TD. 0 returns for Dayne.

I was being facetious. I do recall there was a big campaign from the University for Shaun in 1999 and it was the first time I remembered us actively promoting a Heisman candidate.

Shaun lost the Heisman when he got hurt.

Dayne had 2100 yards rushing as a freshman and followed it up with 1400 and 1200 yards, He was a higher profile guy going into the season and then had a solid season.

Shaun was the better player in college and the pros (by a huge margin in the pros).

That was early, though. He was in the spotlight after Florida and Ole Miss and heading into Tennessee. But he got hurt against Southern Miss and played on one leg against Tennessee and we couldn't move the ball. That was about it for his hopes.

This is actually an incredible stat for a 2k yard rusher.

Andre Williams from BC had 2177 yards rushing in 2013 and zero catches. Malcolm Perry had 2017 yards rushing in 2019 with no catches, but that's not a surprise - he was the QB.

Derrick Henry only had 11 catches his junior year.

Another, even crazier stat. Only QB to ever reach 2k
