We can still make the playoff but we need a lot of help.

Scenario 1: USC loses to ND and the PAC12 championship. TCU loses to Iowa st and the Big12 championship. Clemson loses to either South Carolina or the ACC championship.
Scenario 2: 2 out of 3 happens and Michigan gets beat like they did in 2019 by Ohio st. We may still need Ohio St to lose the Big 10 championship after that to guarantee a spot.

Why? Can we not just focus on the Auburn game? We're not making the playoff. If we somehow do, it will be because of some sort of insane 2% outcome happening that has very little if nothing to do with us. And quite frankly, we won't have deserved it but will have somehow lucked into it via others falling on their face.

It'd be awesome if everyone here cared as much about making Saturday loud as shite and doing everything in our power to beat the ever living shite out of Auburn as opposed to playoff scenarios and who we want to replace Saban. Saturday matters. A lot. If this sort of game was at Jordan Hare they'd have that place revved to the max. Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure we're going to either be all concerned with how we're the worst Alabama team of the last 20 years OR all the insane ways we might could make the playoffs..........instead of just realizing that making BDS a madhouse Saturday for our guys who have their own issues is the most important thing that any of us can do as fans. None of these 1% playoff chances have any chance of coming to fruition if we don't beat Auburn like a playoff team should beat a 5-7 team at home.

if we do, we do....this team needs to be focused on what's at hand and not the hands of others. 1 victory at least keeps our 10+ game season streak alive!

I agree with you. However, there’s nothing wrong with thinking about the scenarios that could lead to us making the playoffs. That’s what will make watching other games besides ours exciting for the next two weeks.

I do not want to play Georgia this year. That would be an excruciating gut punch which is the last thing we need this season. It would be a guaranteed loss and frick losing to them two years in a row now.

I'd rather beat some ACC or Big-10 team in Florida or Atlanta, reboot the program in the off-season and play UGA next year for all the marbles when the playing field is a bit more even.

So many of you said this last season as well. UGA isn't unbeatable. Didn't you learn anything from last season?

That's such an extreme loser mentality that is hard for me to fathom people actually having.

I agree. Based on our cruddy coordinators and game play, I think its a realistic view to not want to get embarrassed in the playoffs and finish the season on a high note. We are clinging to some scraps of national respect to be near the top 5. If we can win out, we can finish in the top 5 and be in good shape for recruiting. Then Saban can fire some coaches and get the ship righted before it gets too far gone. I repeat, this is Saban's most important off season since he arrived. We don't need to end on losses while the media saying "The dynasty is over" the entire off-season.

If Bama were to make it to the finals, they'd get embarrassed.

There are some bitch made “fans” in here…. If Bama is fortunate enough to backdoor into the playoffs, they wont be embarrased.

Everyone thought the same thing last year after the Iron Bowl; and with a one week turn around our offense put it all together and dropped 41 points on Georgia’s all time great defense….. With one month to focus and prepare I feel confident Bama would make it a hell of a game in the playoffs.

I am not sure why people think these coordinators are suddenly going to become good enough to compete against good teams in the playoffs, when they have under-utilized our talent and given us backyard football on both sides of the ball all year.

This fan base has gotten spoiled and soft. I'm excited for the Iron Bowl but also want a chance at the playoff. If you think they don't deserve it or will get smoked then don't watch. You're not going to make it post Saban.

Sugar or Orange. Both would be good bowls.

Or we sneak in the CFP

Need Spencer Rattler and South Carolina to come out blazing against Clemson like they did last week against Tennessee.

No they aren’t it’s an 2 point game and if TCU and USC lose we have a good shot.

It was said as a prediction. Clemson won't lose this game.

It is currently close though.

Be nice to lose both. Watching OSU currently losing is nice too.
