I hate the Barn but in all honesty the bad calls by the refs probably cost them the Okie and Ga games. The A&M , Vandy, Kentucky, and Missouri games were all very close games.

Yep we are locked.

Theres no scenario bama is left out unless they want the SEC title game wiped from existence.

Go watch the clip I just posted. This year's Committee is apparently willing to have Miami jump ND even though they're both idle. Hunter said the Committee will completely rerank the teams after this weekend and if Bama loses, we'll be the only team with three losses in the current Top 12. No one knows what weight the Committee will give to that potential third loss.

I like to play devils advocate as well but the odds and likelihood of that happening is like 3% now. The committee took a stand and made Bama safe if we lose to UGA. The real worry not for us is BYU beating TT and moving ND out. The ACC championship is also a big game. That could mess up some things for a few teams.

There is one basic mission for the committee. Screw the SEC and prop up the B1G. If we lose Saturday, I think we're toast.

If we lose to Georgia the committee will not put us in the play offs. The BCS format might have put us in with a lost. Us losing will put both Notre Dame and Miami in. If we win and Virginia loses then Miami may jump Notre Dame since the ACC would be left out.

Funny how these random posters no one's ever seen before drop in just to claim 'Bama has no shot of making the playoffs if they lose Saturday and then dip right on out.

I’m not worried about the playoffs. I want Bama to win its 31st SEC title. It’s not been pretty but DeBoer and staff and players have fought like hell to have this opportunity to win a championship in the toughest conference in college football still.

If Bama can pull this off Saturday I dare say this team ranks right up there with some of the best Bama teams that’s won a SEC title if you think about it because they will have damn sure earned it.

And to send a message to the rest of the league, you still gotta go through Tuscaloosa to win this championship. That hasn’t changed.

It’s because what the chairman said on live TV that idle teams can move up or down, along with the rest depending on how the games this week play out. They have given themselves an off-ramp that fits every scenario.

Notre Dame is out. The committee is setting it up that if BYU loses that puts Miami and ND right next to each other and they can use H2H…and if BYU wins they are both out

Naaa, you missed what this political beast just did. They only did this so if Bama loses they can't be punished, (just like SMU last year unless we lose by 25-30). We were given the buffer, Notre Dame will also have a buffer over Miami even if BYU lose, they will Jump Bama if we lose but Miami wont. If Georgia looses, they will jump Georgia, they will say, well OU beat Bama and UGA lost twice, so they will slide by them and ND.

The only way Miami gets in is if both Va. and BYU lose. They moves Texas up to protect Bama who if they lose will have 3 loses but having played and extra game and a tougher schedule. Vandy is another buffer.

Bama always gets fired up for Ga. I hope this will be the best game of the year. Then there will be a100% chanceof making the CFP!

I think Pavia is an A-hole but he should win the Heisman. Notre Dame and Vandy are playing good ball. Hard to believe they would put so so teams ahead of them.

I’m not sure if Bama would still be in if they lost by like 28. But so long as the game is competitive, which Bama has always been vs UGA, they should be in regardless of win or loss
