Right now I’d say Bama will win in a shootout. Probably a 42-31 type game

I'm legitimately more nervous for this game than I was before Georgia. Their defense might be just average, but their offense is legit. If this game turns into a shootout, we're going to lose. And so far there's no evidence this defense is capable of stopping an offense like that.

They have a stout run defense but bad pass defense. So that bodes very well for Ty and co. But they also have a great offense with the likely (assuming he stays healthy) SEC OPOY against our run weak defense

Really no reason to say this after what 'Bama was able to do last night against a much better defense on the road.

Hopefully we don’t stay in prevent 3-3-5 the whole time.

Mostly because of what happened at FSU. I'm worried we still have that tendency to panic when we're put into that situation; where we play catch up and start making dumb playcalls on offense.

I hope I'm wrong, but it's definitely something that concerns me

We should be able to score at will on Vandy. Defense needs to take the risk on the deep passes and stack the box.

We will be incredibly motivated against Vandy. A lot of the players were there last year for the loss. At home I think we beat them handily. Not saying they aren’t a good team, I just have a feeling about it.

Our defense is average at best, but we still have really good athletes on that side of the ball that are capable of getting stops. Meanwhile if our offense is at our best, Vandy doesn’t have the athletes to get stops. In fact I don’t think they have a prayer if our offense is clicking

Exactly. Vandy defense has been mostly unable to stop most opponents. I think we actually run the ball well against them.

I think so too, but 2012-2013 Texas A&M games come to mind except we get the home field for round 2.

If I were the DC this
week, I would be tempted to run a 4-3 Dime.

#41 & #30 rotating at MLB
#0, #10, #21 & #16 rotating at OLB
#96, #90, #94 & #25 rotating at IDL
#42, #22, #31 & #8 rotating at ODL

Punch in the middle and speed on the edge - that would be some serious head hunters for Pavia to deal with.

Hope to see continued improvement in that respect. We committed to the run yesterday and only go bare minimum effectiveness. Need to start seeing explosives.

Funny part. When it mattered Jam had 2, 7 yard carries.

It was very encouraging to see. Next step if feeling like we can get a tough yard without passing or gadget runs.

Yeah. The 3rd and 1 had me really nervous. I’d like to have confidence we can get it right up the gut.

I would happily take a 63-42 shootout victory over this bunch, without offering one bit of criticism against the defense, if we get out of this game with a W.

-12? I'd back up the Brinks truck for Vandy.

Vandy struggled with Utah State yesterday for a lot of the game. I watched most of it.

Boz….”it’s a trap” That’s the same thing as saying UGA struggled with Austin Peay. Vandy was looking ahead and wasn’t motivated in that game. Take absolutely zero conclusions from it (or it’s actually a sign they are ready for us…they could have blown them out if they wanted to spend the focus and time on the prep).

If our players aren’t ready (particularly defense), they are going to find out quickly that Vandy isn’t going to lay down. We better be ready from drive 1 on both sides of the ball. Home field will help, but this is their Super Bowl and even Gameday is coming. We have to play well to win.
