I still don't understand why TX isn't getting some heat too. They went in with a loss as well.

He did no such thing. He said he was going to add a request for funds to his 2024-25 budget request, which has to go through the legislative process and would be for the next fiscal year.
In real terms, he said some words to fire up the base but otherwise mean noting at all.
