Christian Brothers out of Tennessee is having an excellent season as a program. The Memphis, Tennessee powerhouse ranks in the Top-30 across the whole nation as a team and they've got a very talented combo guard in Chandler Jackson. The 6-foot-5, 205-pound prospect is a four-star recruit and he's been spectacular for his school during his junior season.

His season averages: 18 points, seven rebounds, and 5.5 assists.

The most recent on his recruitment: "Been talking consistently with Bama, Creighton, Florida State, Vanderbilt, Wake Forest, Virginia Tech, Iowa State, Missouri, Ole Miss, Auburn."

New programs inquiring: "Nebraska, Houston, South Carolina."

He would be a good one. Some players you worry about if they'll be as good making a jump in competition, like Ej Anosike at Tennessee, was all world before he transferred and hasn't done anything this year.

I think Williams would be solid in the SEC, Murray State played Tennessee two years ago and Williams had a pretty good game, 5 rebs, 3 assists, 2 blocks, and 10 points.

I hope that JD to Wilson lobs become a big part of our offense. Because that would be fun.

Oh, you know it will.

If there was a metric to gauge how well a team performs in alley oops, we would probably break the record for most improvement from this season to next.

I am also hoping that JD throws a lob to himself off the backboard for a violent dunk on a breakaway fast break.

I'll probably catch flack for this but I hope the staff can get JD to step it up defensively. As great as he is offensively, he is pretty lazy defensively. He can block shots here and there but his on and off ball defense is just not good. If he wants to be a complete player, he needs to step that part of his game up.
Although, I guess he could be the next James Hardin. He doesn't play defense either.

As much as he has do do offensively for his team they are probably OK with him not playing as hard as he can on defense. I think he is capable of being a really good defender and that Oats will turn him into one.

That’s pretty normal for a HS kid. AAU teams don’t teach defense

Russell Westbrook is the perfect comp.

Congrats to senior Jusaun Holt, with 23 points and 8 rebounds in win over Pinecrest, passed over 1,000 points and 600 rebounds for his career. Great accomplishments. Proud coach. Alabama getting a good one.

Alabama signee JD Davison exploded for 43 points and eight rebounds in his first playoff game. Also had five steals and the future @AlabamaMBB prospect has turned himself into one of the best scorers in the country.

Remember that quadruple double he got last year where he had 11 steals? He also had 5 blocks in that game. As I said earlier, I think Oats is gonna make him into a really good defender.

His defense is really the only knock on JD. If you had to try and come up with another it’s that he plays for a really small school and could have benefited more from playing with/against stiffer competition. A lot of his high school games look like a professional schooling kids a camp

I think Westbrook is a great comparison, although I think JD has potential to be a better outside shooter. But both are just insanely explosive and play super hard.

Some of the teams he is playing against could probably beat Auburn this year.

Ah yes, 2A Alabama basketball. The golden standard of talent

They did play Kell which is an outstanding team. It wasn’t a dig at JD btw. It was more so, me saying there is very little wrong with his game and that’s the only other thing I can even think would be held against him.

He also regularly scored over 30 points in AAU games vs other college prospects. Don't act like a main reason he is doing well because he is playing in a lower classification. You come off as jealous that Auburn didn't get him.

Here you go if you want to see him vs good competition.

Don’t believe I ever made this claim, and apologize if it came across that way.

This part is true. I really wanted him

He didn't say that's the only reason JD is so good. He said that's one of the couple of little nit picky things to knock him over, which isn't an inaccurate statement by any means. He's an elite prospect playing most of his games against a bunch of dudes whose organized basketball careers will end at the high school level.
