we better enjoy him or do what it takes to keep him here bc the big boys will take notice
As long a Byrne is here, I'm not worried about us paying him. I think the only issue would be if Oats was drawn to the allure of being at a blue blood. But, I think, at least right now, Oats thinks he can win just a big at Bama, after he builds the program. I tend to agree with him on that.

To reiterate what was already pointed out, we have more money and resources than every big time basketball program in the country. It's really just a matter of putting it to use. That means a new arena and whatever else Oats wants. The prestige of the blue bloods certainly helps recruiting, but so does the fact that they commit so much money to basketball.

I rememeber T. Boone Pickens offering Bill Self the world and he still turned OSU down, and he's an alum!

Wichita native, Gradey Dick, announced that he will be transferring to the usual national powerhouse, Sunrise Christian Academy. This year's Gatorade Player of the Year in the state already holds many high-major offers and has also grown in both the height and weight section.
He has grown from 6-foot-5 and 170-pounds to 6-foot-7 then now 195-pounds.
Sunrise Christian Academy was a big move for Dick who discussed his recruitment and how that move to Sunrise is going with Stockrisers.com.
How’s the recruitment going, any handful of schools you’re thinking about?
Dick: “Haven’t really thought about who’s in the mix yet, just that I’m working on my top 10. I am talking with my family and starting the process of deciding which ten programs will be on my list.”
Who’s still involved in your recruitment?
Dick: “Mainly all of the schools that offered me. That list has Kansas, Baylor, K-State, Wichita State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Northwestern, Florida, Alabama, Texas A&M, Creighton, Nebraska, Colorado, Purdue, Illinois, Xavier, Texas Tech, and Iowa State on it.”
What about any newer programs?
Dick: “The newer schools that have offered that I look forward to learning more about is Florida and Alabama.”
What did you enjoy about your recent presentation from Alabama?
Dick: “What caught my eye about Alabama is their offensive freedom and their style of play in transition.”
How about the local programs?
Dick: “The local schools like Kansas, K-State, and Wichita State, they like my versatility and the fact that they are so close to me, really helps with easy visits.”
Kansas, they’ve been involved for a while, what are they pitching?
Dick: “Kansas has recruited me from the start so I’ve had a great relationship with them for a while. We had a virtual visit a while ago mainly just to talk and see each other again.”
A school like Creighton, what are your thoughts on them?
Dick: “A great offensive play style for a wing-like me. The way they run guys off screens to get more open and things like that really caught my eye.”
How has the move to Sunrise been?
Dick: “Sunrise has been great, it’s pretty much a college basketball program and that’s why I made the move. So I can get workouts in whenever, practice against amazing talent every day, and play a traveling schedule.”
Any recruiting going on from your teammates?
Dick: “Yeah, Kendall [Brown] is recruiting me to join him at Baylor. Zach Clemence is my roommate as well and he’s a Kansas commit.”

Nate Oats said #Alabama is expecting its three commitments to sign in the early signing period.
"We're still recruiting other guys. We've got some that we've been heavily involved with for some time now. ... We're still planning on signing five (players)."

Everyone just assumes that if a Kansas/Duke/Kentucky came calling for our coach, he’s gone. But we have more money/resources than most, if not all, of the basketball blue bloods.
Don't be senile. If they come calling he is definitely going to listen

It is looking like it could be a pretty quiet early signing period for Alabama -- and most programs -- when it comes to undecided players. As of now, Bediako is among the many who are going to pass up on signing/committing early. I still believe Nate Oats and company are in a good spot for Bediako and I do think we should have a better idea of his next step in about 7-10 days, I just don't expect a commitment.

Moussa Diabate to Michigan. Not sure we had much of a chance with him but I know some people in here were wondering about him

Just hope our recruiting class doesn't fizz out from here. We need at least Bediako or even a Cardet to round out a great class. Both would be heaven.

If we do not get them it will not be because of lack of effort.

#Alabama should be really excited about adding Jusaun Holt in its 2021 class. My favorite thing about him is his productivity. He keeps getting better every time I see him. Competitive dude on both ends.

Alabama has reached out to 5* Aminu Mohammed’21. A Zoom meeting is likely to occur very shortly with HC Nate Oates. Expect others to ramp up their interest.. #RollTide
#14 overall player. He has 1 CB to Indiana but it is a 4 confidence.

Davison is now likely to make it official with Alabama on Saturday during a signing/ring ceremony. Don't read anything into the delay on signing. His team is getting their state title rings and he wants to do it then. Wilson's LOI is already in and announced. Holt is still expected to sign today.

It would be awesome if Bediako popped a surprise commit and signature on us before signing period ends
