Maryland’s Mark Turgeon and his staff will virtually meet with Top-50 sophomore Rodney Rice on Tuesday evening, he told @Stockrisers.

Alabama and Louisville have recently completed virtual visits with Rodney Rice as well. This is a prospect who I believe when all is complete, could have a fifth star next to his name. Legit prospect.

James White cuts his list today.

I expect us to be on it.

If I’ve said it once I’ve said it a thousand times, but announcing a top 10, 12, 15 etc. is not cutting your list. It’s just getting you extra attention on a random day

Yeah...I’ve cut my list down to roughly 20% of the P5 schools.

Oohhhh, decision imminent!!

Hmmm, most speculated by the timing that he had something better than this lined up. Following Penny these next few years is going to be very interesting. I could honestly see it going so many different ways for him.

A show cause feels more likely than a national championship to me.

No doubt, but Memphis fans are going to ride that Penny wave until they crash

98% chance he crashes and burns with a sub-par record, devastating NCAA sanctions, or both, 1% chance he has a reasonably successful but unspectacular tenure there, 1% chance he is wildly successful and bolts to the NBA in the next 4-6 years.

He's not qualified for the job and is incredibly shady when it comes to recruiting. It almost certainly won't end well.

Nah its not that low

He just needs to get back on tract recruiting wise (I know it has been rough right now). I think we have seen enough that in college basketball to know you can get away with being a bad to mediocre coach if you can recruit well enough. If his recruiting doesn't pick back up it will be rough though.

Glad he won't be in the SEC

Javian released his top 6. I’m guessing he is gonna go home and play for Ben Howland
