Yeah I’m not sure you’d want to waste time and effort on kid who’s already committed. You move on to the next one.

If we don't land Burnett, we might be struggling trying to put together a good class.

This was my only fear of guys like Nate Oats. Xs & Os, he’ll coach circles around Avery. But, can he get the big fish to commit to him when he’s nationally a no-name? This class has quickly gone from possible GOAT class to will Bama sign anyone at all.

Well, hell, who do we think Byrne should go after to replace Oats? Maybe Donovan will be ready in a few months?

Anybody want to buy my Rocket City Classic tickets?

Chill out lol. Alabama still leads for Burnett I’m pretty sure. He’s a 5-star, top 20 player. Then we’re in on a ton of other 4 and 5 star players. We’ll be fine

What's the list of the high rated guys we know we're still in on that haven't committed/cut us from the list? Off the top of my head it's the few guys below but I know I'm missing folks:

Burnett
Timberlake
Bridges
Smith
Scrubbs

Patrick Belein(sp?) would top my list if we're being serious. Him and Steve Forbes for obvious reasons. Belein learn everything from his dad who mastered the art of recruiting under the radar players.

With that said, I appreciated the energy Oats has dedicated after these five stars (on the lower end if that) but I hope he's realistic. If I was coach, the only five stars I would look at are the ones w/n a five radius of Alabama. A kid growing up on the west coast isn't really dreaming about playing in the deep south. Aside from that, I would recruit 3-4 stars out of Chicago and D.C. hard, as well as rest of midwest where I have strong connections. I still say international area is a untapped market for talent but Gonazaga is the only major program feasting on that on a consistent basis.

Bama isn't going to beat the big programs for five stars normally, and now we have kids going overseas for a paycheck, bypassing college altogether.

We're NOT being serious. Saban and Bear is trolling, and I'm being sarcastic. Let Oats lose a game before we start making ridiculous comments about hiring someone else.

Relax dude. I’m confident we get Burnett. And even if we strike out the rest of the way Nate will get us some Transfers and Juco players. We’re good. Stars don’t mean shite in college basketball.

I think we at least get Burnett and Josh Hall. And then maybe a Juco and probably a Grad Transfer

Also, this is going to be a small class unless we have some unexpected transfers or draft declarations. Maybe just a couple of guys.

I get Burnett, but why the confidence in getting Josh Hall? I’m not very confident with any of the top prospects we’ve been after outside of Burnett, but Hall certainly isn’t the next name I think of when it comes to our 2020 class.

From what I’ve heard our staff likes where we sit with him. Rongie Gordon is another one I think we have a great shot at.

Again, this is what some of us were saying 1-2 months ago. Anyone who thought this was going to be a "GOAT" class simply because we were in a few guys Top 12 was living in fantasy world. I have no doubt Oats will sign good players, but convincing yourself we are going to sign a Top 3 class for no reason at all and then letting that turn to frustration when we sign a Top 15-20 class or whatever (with a guy who has proven to be able to coach) is just flat out silly.

And, not to say I told you so, this is exactly what and why me and Bryant were saying what we were saying a month ago. Don't let yourself get all caught up and dreamy eyed because we are literally in some guys Top 12. That's just silly and you are setting yourself up to be disappointed for no reason at all.
