Kira made the U19 national team so he'll be playing with them through the first week or two of July I believe. It'll be a great experience for him as long as he stays healthy.

Every Alabama player has been doing a drill called the NBA 100 this summer where they chart 100 shots from beyond the 3-point line. Oats noted a quick improvement from another shooter who had struggled with his stroke in two seasons. Rising junior Herbert Jones is 13-for-47 or 27.7 percent shooting 3s in his first two seasons. When he started the NBA 100, he made 44 -- a number he improved to 59 the last time through.

“Yeah, as long as I put in the work, I’ll gain confidence. As long as I keep working on it, my confidence will grow.”

Sounds good. Hope he does improve. We need him and his defense

Maybe we can bring Chuck Person in with a consulting role to teach our kids how to shoot.

Would it be considered community service

First time I've watched it through. You can see 3 huge things in that practice that we just didn't have with Avery or Grant (Based upon my understanding of those situations).
1. Relentless positivity at success (Clapping up for a 3 or dapping up for a finish in traffic) and correction through teaching at mistakes.(This isn't the same as clapping for every good play, it's culture building and it has to come from the beginning)
2. Big men are being tasked with handling and passing the ball. This opens up your offense if the big man is more than a roll and finish/rebound clean up man.
3. Focus on process over results. You can miss a corner 3 in practice, but if what lead to the open corner 3 was done correctly, at this point that is absolutely worth being excited about.

CNO in his early days is delivering what he preached and that is incredibly nice to see.

I hope someone in the 2nd round takes a chance on Donta. He got better every year even with an inept coach and Strength coach

Good move. He'd be much better off ball.

Hard to love a guy even in RD2 who can't shoot In today's game.

I'm interested where guys like him, Chris Silva and a few others end up

Some thoughts on the draft so far. Still blowing my mind Vandy didn't win a damn game in the SEC this year and a player went fifth...Orlando got a good one tonight. Auburn's Chuma Okeke is a glue guy who will do anything for his team...Kentucky's Tyler Herro is a SpoBot.

LOL... this confirms Joe Goodman doesn’t know what he is taking about.

Teams are going to two pgs on the floor at the same time, it's the wave of the future. Same thing Nate Oats does.

More guards and less bigs, its the way the game is going.

Somebody is gonna get a steal in Bryce Brown IMO. He is too damn good of a shooter

They'll have two ball handlers but only one will be a "point guard"

Sexton is a ball handler but he isn't a point guard. He isn't an great playmaker/passer, he is a great scorer though

Letting Sexton move off ball, Slash/cut and get catch and shoot 3s is ideal

He will likely have to earn it as an undrafted FA more than likely

While he is a sneaky solid athlete, at 6'1 avg wingspan with limited ball handling/playmaking, he is a tough sell

He is the type of guy to get a 2 way contract and on a call up hits 7 threes vs Phoenix to earn a lifetime Deep bench shooter career
