Fleming looks legit. He dunked more in that practice than i seen in all of his highlight tapes combined.

Looks like Reese or Smith argument is all for nothing. Oats likes him at 3or 4 just like Bear said jk
Tried to tell you guys. Reese is a stretch big. He could never be a center.

Youre just guessing tho and basing that off of what?

It feels like my dream is finally coming true. Alabama kickass in both football and basketball. If Q is eligible, out PG-SG-SF combo is going to be three 5-Stars (Kira-Q-Petty)

Let’s say Q is eligible, post who you think the will be our best players down to our worst players next season...
My list...
1. Kira Lewis
2. Jahvon Quinerly
3. John Petty
4. Jaylen Forbes
5. Juwan Gary
6. James Bolden
7. Jaden Shackelford
8. Raymond Hawkins
9. Alex Reese
10. James Rojas
11. Javian Fleming
12. Herb Jones
13. Galin Smith

I think you’re going to see wide swings game to game but throughout the season there should be equal share. A lot, if not all, will depend on who’s nearest the ball and who’s farthest down court when the ball is rebounded/inbounded.

Bold strategy putting Forbes so high. If Reese is our 9th best player then we’re going all the way fellas!
I’d have Rojas as my #4. Reese and Beetle very close behind.

Yeah I was impressed. He looks like a different player

Based on Oats calling Reese a big about 4 times this off season and Reese being a better rebounder than Smith and better than him at about every aspect of basketball.

Things I noticed:
1. Quinerly has either improved his shooting or is one of those guys that does better in practice than in games.
2. I'm glad all the people that wanted Fleming to leave didn't get their way. He may not ever play, but in those videos, he looked like our best post presence.
3. I'm so excited I just can't hide it. Did we ever get videos like this of Avery's practices? I remember seeing the guys run up and down the court a few times, and videos of them walking through plays, but nothing like this.

Quinerly is keeping his elbow in now as opposed to it flying out wildly which is what it used to do prior to this offseason.
He was always pretty solid from 3 but changing to the correct technique should help him a lot.

I made my prediction, but those videos sure have me excited

As far as an offensive post presence, he’s had that from the start. I know Oats has praised Smith, but I maintain that I don’t see how Fleming could have been worse last year. His footwork in the post is impeccable. If he can stay in shape, it wouldn’t surprise me to see him start eventually this coming season.

At least we will have a plan of attack and can maybe inbound the damn ball. That will make me happy in year 1

Fleming made a couple of difficult catches and dunks.
Oats said he has really bought in and turned into somewhat of a gym rat.
One viewer said Forbes was the best looking of the new guys and Herb Jones was the best of the returning players in the practice. And he was speaking of Herb's offense.

That doesn’t really surprise me. He’s shown flashes of what he can be offensively, but whatever it was didn’t make its way onto the court last season. Hell, in the videos of scrimmages and that non-midnight madness we had, he looked like the unquestioned best player on the floor. Really surprised last season crashed and burned for him like it did. Hopefully he can translate what happens in practice into the games this year. Maybe Oats can help with his in-game jitters or whatever it is.

I think Herbs offensive success ( however limited ) is bc he is a matchup problem for many teams with his length and being able to handle the ball some and not so much of his shot. If you look at his shot, the rotation on his shots is horrible unlike say Shackelford. It is fixable and maybe Oats is working on that bc Avery never did apparently

Maybe we can bring Chuck Person in with a consulting role to teach our kids how to shoot.
